Lamplight Rendevous

Under the silver  lamp post light

Feeling the cold and  damp  of  the ground

He sits and surveys  the night.

So awake and so alive listen to every sound.

Suddenly  his  nostrils  start to  twitch

He is detecting an unusual  scent

Reaching out  to  stifle a sudden itch

He looks into the dark his senses intent.

Here she come  the Queen of  the night

Lean and  sleek with a sexy  gait.

When she  see him her  eyes flash blue  and bright

They circle each other, a dance  with grace.

It had been a long day

As I walked home I was tired.

So I stopped for a rest along the way.

I was lonely and fed up too

I know I have a family and a husband true.

That doesn’t always make things right you know,

To the outside things may look perfect but that isn’t always so.

As I sat there I had a chat with God as I often had before,

Now don’t go telling people that or they will say I am off the loop or more!

I sat there telling him my fears when suddenly a really pleasant man appeared.

“May I sit here ” He asked “you look troubled can I help?”

There was something special about this guy he had a kindness in eyes

A gentle smile, he put me at my ease, he just did I can’t say why.

He asked me what was troubling me and why I looked so sad.

It was so strange because immediately I was telling him openly of all the troubles I felt I had.

I don’t know how he did it but he put me at my ease and let talk for hours,

He listened to me and he did not chide or tease.

There was no anger or irritation in his voice or eyes.

He seemed happy to listen and was not embarrassed when tears fell from my eyes.

He didn’t say much but his presence was such a comfort he made me feel alive.

Quietly he seemed to give me Strength he seemed to make me thrive.

As we sat there and the world went by

I felt a peace return, he made me feel myself again, he made me want to try.

The things that were weighing me down and making me feel so small

Were really not insurmountable, he made me feel as if nothing was too difficult at all.

Eventually  I said I really ought to go I noticed the time

He said he would walk with me as his path was the same as mine.

I felt so safe in his company , like I never had before

He made the walk seem effortless as he saw me to my door.

I turned to ask him in for a cup of tea

But he was gone and no one was standing next to me.

Strange, yes it was but I remembered all he had said

And the gentle feeling of his being remained inside my head.

I hope we meet again one day for I shall never forget

The feeling of his kindness and his touch the day we met.

MUSICAL THEME : RENDEZOUS

Well I thought I just  might  gatecrash  the Musical Theme  this week which  was chosen  by Bear  . The title of which today is RENDEZOUS.

A rendezous,

1. A meeting at a prearranged time and place. See Synonyms at engagement.
2. A prearranged meeting place, especially an assembly point for troops or ships.
3. A popular gathering place: The café is a favorite rendezvous for artists.
4. Aerospace The process of bringing two spacecraft together.
tr. & intr.v. ren·dez·voused (-vd), ren·dez·vous·ing (-vng), ren·dez·vous (-vz)

To bring or come together at a rendezvous.
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. an agreement to meet at a certain time and place.
2. the meeting itself.
3. a place designated for a meeting or assembling, as of troops.
4. a meeting of two or more spacecraft in outer space.
5. a popular gathering place.
6. to assemble at an agreed time and place.
Lindisfarne    Meet me on the corner : A perfect example of a rendezous . “Meet me on the corner when the sun is going down and I’ll be there I promise I’ll be there. ” Time  and place  and expectations.
The Failed rendezous , the broken date. There on time and  waiting  excitedly  …. sadly  the boy  is waiting in vane. For whatever reason the girl does not turn up. Has something happened  to her, has  she met  someone else, has she been forbidden  to go by  an angry parent. Is  she a married  woman or a girl with a boyfriend  who has stopped her from keeping  her rendezous, we will never know.
Sandy Shaw    Girl Don’t  Come
The Rendezous,  the place to meet.  “ We all have friends  who  have friends  by  the river, who too have friends who  have friends of their own. All seated  round  having Port  after  dinner. Port that was  bought  by  the friends  they have known.”  The river being the place to be, the rendezous  to meet friends  and eat together.
Arrival       Friends
The Chance meeting that leads to a rendezous.
“Rendezvous where to my place say 2 & we can do anything you wanna do. Hey, tonight is your night yeah, When you close your eyes, take a minute, take a moment realise. Do you see me when you fantiasise.Tonight’ll be your night”
Craig David….. Rendezous
The place  for a meeting  by seaside  this time! The  film  in the video  is just  so lovely!
I was there where were you
My watch had  not stopped I was there at two!
The Restaurant  was buzzing, so many people saw me all alone
Looking  stupid, like a spare part , so embarrassed I wanted  to turn to stone!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rendezous

You bring  the wine

I shall name the place and time

We shall meet  and our hands entwine

It will be the rendezous of all time!

FanFoFeb: What would I say?

http://www.artistsinfo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Pretty_Baby_1M.jpg

Today I am still sitting here thinking  of the magic moment I experienced yesterday.

What would of happened if I could of  met the younger me, what  would I have had to say.

Maybe I could of  told her that things would get  easier, but that would of been a lie

Things  got worse, harder, her shoulders would have so much to bare, she’d learn not to cry.

No I don’t think I could tell her of the dark days to come, of everything normal and of caring  for a tortured soul

Of  rules too harsh to keep,of agonizing  days , and nights of no sleep. Yet I could tell her she would stay whole.

She  would  grow  and cope, her energies trained  to her children. Her husband working away so much

No I fear I could not warn her of the sorrows and the pain that, her shoulders, would touch.

I’d  tell her of the joys of  watching graduations  three fold, of wedding days

Of looking at three lovely and kind spirited young men from babies to husband and men in a haze.

Of waiting for  the next generation to be born watching it grow in a beautiful young woman’s body

Of decorating , of moving houses  of being driven mad and money broke, of being there to always to help, as if her own life was just a hobby.

No skip the pain, the betrayals , desertions,  the returns that should  not of been allowed

Of  the rows  and control , she probably knows of that already, no all that I would shroud.

What  good would it do her ? None . For she is me and would be already locked in a love.

That forgives adultery, selfish children, unreasonable demands,  she’d not  change  a thing , caught like a caged dove.

I’d  tell her to be strong and many years hence she will find her niche

Her mind  will grow  and all will make sense at last and then she will have her peace.

I’d tell here  to be true  and to stand up for herself if she can.

I’d tell her to hold on to her dreams and never let them go, to love those near to her to follow life’s unseen plan.

Hello, hello I said

He stopped and turned his head

Our eyes met a thousand questions left unanswered.

So long since we last met .

The rain fell hard

Yet I could not feel it, my heart so scarred

Not a word from you, you left me high and dry

Gone without a word nothing left to do but cry.

Your face said it all

Not wanting  to see me, you threw up a wall so tall

Cut so deep I thought my heart would stop

“Sorry my mistake” I said, “I don,t know you” I smiled. I watched as  your jaw dropped
