Mary and Jo the end of the beginning.

Today is the 5th January the Epithany, the day the three kings (magi.com ) visit the the new baby the saviour. The end of my Christmas Story but the beginning of another.

Okay Driver, we can walk from here, we have plenty of time. Looking really smart in their rich and kingly robes they stepped out of their limmo  the last of the journey their greeting to express.

The gifts they bare are unusual, not ones seen every day. They had researched them well to help this new king on his way.

Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh  are the gifts they proffer. These unlikely gifts are special and each have something to offer.

They left the dunes and followed the star’s light towards the hotel lit up in the night. When they arrived   everyone in reception turned to look at them, the young lady on the desk asked if she could help, yes they said “is this the Hotel Delph.”

We have come to see the baby, we have come baring gifts.  A familiar young man ( Gabe) smiled and beckoned them towards the lifts. “He is waiting for you back here in David’s room,” he said as  he led them through the doors marked staff and into the gloom.

Image from Pixabay

They followed him up a passage feeling somewhat overdressed, all the staff they passed bowed and seemed very much impressed. As they reached David’s door Gabriel disappeared, “Why does he keep doing that ” asked Balthazar “Am I the only one who think it is weird?”

As they entered the room all of their worries flew away before them was the most amazing sight they had ever seen in all of their living days.

Angels, shepherds, sheep and all. Children, hotel staff animals large and small. They could hardly believe it true, all wondrous things here, heaven sent, and in every hue.

The babe was such a glorious sight, he was holy, holy and  he was surrounded by light and love and joy he was such a beautiful boy. This was the boy, the son of God he was going to save the world and by kindness, no use of the rod.

They drew forth their special gifts , gold for a King , Frankincense a perfume bitter but royal and Myrrh to use a soothing balm for the body royal.

Happy staff

The Hotel staff where so happy and  jubilant Irena and Annya  so proud they had helped. They loved this couple who’s short stay had touched their lives .

Image from Pixabay

The gents from Magi.com were blown away with this place and so happy they had come all this way. To share a part of this birth to witness the miracle of the blessed babe and see his worth.

Now if everything you have read here is true, is a choice that I will leave up to you. But Angels and shepherds and the neighbours, pets and live stock too with wise men and gifts and happy staff and children in a 5star hotel with everyone happy as if all under a magic spell.

Well lets leave the parents and baby to sleep the staff, shepherds and wise men a watch over them to keep. They have to be up early tomorrow it is true. They need to make ready for a long journey out of this land. They have to escape Herod   and his evil band, of  killers of infants under a year. Yes that is why the Angels and the wise men had bid them flee from here. But for now we will let the three of them sleep for with fate and pain they have many an appointment to keep.

Mary and Jo Part 28

This is part twenty eight of my reworking of the Nativity. From an idea I first wrote in December 2011.

Image from Pixabay

And what of our three wise men who follow the star, to find the babe of Bethlehem. They checked and double checked the charts they knew the 5th was the date imprinted on their hearts

They had stayed up discussing Herod and the proposition he had made for information about the whereabouts of the babe. The stranger Gabriel made a lot sense when he told them of Herod’s plan to find and destroy the babe if he can.

Image from Pixabay

They decided that they would give him the swerve they had not liked his manner he had had them all un-nerved. They decided they would give the parents the tip to leave Egypt asap and give the man the slip.

Image from Pixabay

So not long now till they set off into the night to pay homage to the holy mite . He is the new, the the shining light. With their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh gifts which will in the future share.

Image from Pixabay

Mares and Jo take their rest, something is telling them to stay, Gabe mentioned three wise men from far away. He also told Jo to be clear, after their visit they could not stay here. They must immediately up and leave Egypt without delay.

Image from Pixabay

Sleep sweet couple while you can there will be grief when your boy becomes a man.

Image from Pixabay

He has come to save us all, it is true but to reach that goal,Mary and Jo there is much grief for you.

Mary and Jo. Part27.

This is part twenty seven of my reworking of the Nativity. From an idea I first wrote in December 2011.

Where are those three wise men, I hear you say where are magi.com are they not coming to pray? They have been busy checking their star charts to see what they say.

image from Pixabay

They must arrive in January, on the fifth day. Now as it happens that is a good thing you see, for they have hiding from Herod. They need to keep their movements hidden from him, to save the baby.

Image from Pixabay

Now don’t you forget them because you will see they will arrive safe on the day pre decreed! They will bring their presents fit for a new king. The the new order of life can begin.

Mary and Jo part 26

This is part twenty six of my reworking of the Nativity. From an idea I first wrote in December 2011.

Coora, coora said the dove I bring light and I bring love. Such was the light that fell around it lit each pebble and grain of sand on the ground.

Image from Pixabay

It was strange the Hotel Delph usually a place of wealth, had shepherds and sheep and ordinary folk  streaming towards it an appointment to keep.

Mares and Jo bathed in gentle light resting in the gazebo after a busy night. Swaddled tightly in his  arms Jo held his baby for now safe from harm.

Image from Pixabay

Here within this baby’s heart is the blessed grace to give us a brand new start. All the people strangers to one another,  had all heard the call to come and greet the new Child here with his father and mother. The Dove descends and  comes to rest near where these new parents have made their nest.

Image from Pixabay

Gentle angels from heaven above look down upon this scene of tender love. Stragglers come from far and wide, the Ox, a dog a cat and many others beside. They all have gifts to give to this child who as a man will die so we can live. A small group hover outside embarrassed by their pride, they have nothing to bring to give to the baby king. A beautiful angel approaches them and asks why they wait , they explain they have no gift . The Angel bids them to up lift their love for him is an ample gift.

Image from Pixabay

Annya  and Irene cannot believe their eyes they delivered this babe and heard it’s birth cries is this really where they work with all this light and people here. How transformed this mean courtyard appears.

Image from Pixabay

Still some way off along the road our three wise men near with their precious load, of gold, frankincense and myrrh to worship a the baby’s feet and gentle Jo and Mares to meet.
Just for now we watch this strange, strange scene the farm animals, and the insects all clearly seen, mixing and mingling with family pets and lots of humans lets not forget. This must truly be the Messiah for in every soul here tonight burns with a fire of love and truth and sacrifice …the cats are just ignoring the mice, no pushing no shoving all is calm like the baby’s breathing in Jo capable arms.

Mary and Jo Part 25

Today is the twenty fifth day of Advent, Christmas Day. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry

Irena got there first a huge smile on her face, she was so happy to be doing her real job, even if it was in a strange place. She could not believe the sight that met her eyes, there was a cat and a dog and the lady from up the way and doves covered the skies.
Well she thought we can’t move her now she will have to give birth here in the gazebo! It felt so good to be wearing her blues again, Jo was flapping quietly rubbing Mares’ back pretending he was in control…. but that was all in vain!

Annya arrived she almost hurdling the bushes, how are things going she asked Irena, who smiled replied you have made it in time for the pushes. So between the four of them a little babe was born. It was strange it took all night but some how it did not not seem long
Mares seemed so calm , in fact she was serene, Annya was amazed and told Irena for a “first time mum” she was the calmest she’d ever seen. There seemed to be so many people there, angels people later said, with golden flowing hair and bright rings around their heads.
The pets from up the road and the lady too, and some shepherds arrived with their sheep they all wanted to be there too. It all seemed so surreal Oh! was it a dream. Here in the gazebo with doves and sheep and things!! The star above the hotel began to burn so bright it turned the scented garden and gazebo into a haven of light.

And so the babe is born. This the first day of the new dawn. This child has come to lead the way to take us to a better day.
The shepherds brought their sheep as gifts to the young king and his parents in love to keep. Josh has bought his friendship band he placed it in the baby’s hand. The children offered up the paper chains they had made with Mares and she in turn has kissed them all and blew away their cares.
On their way towards the hotel Delph in a limousine our three wise men are approaching fast they want to warn Jo again and fast.
But for now all is light and all is love as the star shines down from heaven above, born for us this day our saviour to wash our sins away.

Mary and Jo Part 24

Today is the twenty fourth day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry. This though is another brand new chapter.

Mary awoke a looked at the star, it was brightest up in the sky by far. “Gabe said there would be star to say just where we are do you think we are safe here?” Jo told her that God would not let harm come to his son so they need not fear.

“What shall we call him?” Jo asked, “Gabe had told me his name” Mary whispered. “I want to choose his name” said Jo. “Okay” replied Mary, ” what do you want his name to be.” Jo thought the he smiled and replied, ” Jesus, let’s call him Jesus”. Mary smiled a huge smile and happily agreed, knowing that was the child’s chosen name.

“I shall teach him my trade I shall love him he will be my boy, Mary we will show him so much joy.” He will have a childhood just like all other children they both agreed.

The angels looked down and smiled, the knew the right parents had been found. Later that evening Mary began her labor.

Today is the twenty third day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry. Today’s chapter is another brand new one.

Look at the this roof Jo my dear, such beauty there. Mary smiled her special smile it had the power to beguile. Mary and Joseph, hand in hand walked among the flowers in this holy land.

Herod paced his palace surveying all he owned, the gold, the precious stones, the tapestries and tables of food that groaned. Three days ago he’d sent out his troops with a task they did abhor. To kill all boys born within a year or more.

Image from Pixabay

The women screamed the father’s fought all hell was let loose. Stupid Herod had done himself no good, most wanted his head in a noose.

Image from Pixabay

Where were those three guys from magi.com they had promised him information where were they hiding where had they gone.

They were staying in a plush hotel waiting for the birth , they had already made up their minds to give Herod a wide birth.

Image from Pixabay

Meanwhile Mary and Jo return from their walk they lay down so Mary can rest. Soon Mary is sleeping in his arms, Jo hugs her and swears for her and his son he’ll do his very best.

Mary and Jo Part 22

Today is the twenty second day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry. This part is however a brand new chapter.

The earth was still and quiet, mother Gia held her breath. She knew the creator was sending his son to save what good was left.

© willowdot21

The sun paused in his long trek to watch for the signs of the new king. The moon was held enthralled by the new star, such a beautiful thing.

Image from Pixabay

The holy ghost took on the form of peace and flew around the world in the hope that wars would cease. If only for the birth for a moment in time, peace on earth.

David the consierge received a phone call the boss of the chain was going to visit. He wanted David’s room, no other room was free. David felt the gloom.

He had a word with Jo. Jo said no worries Dave, we can sleep three nights in the gazebo. Mary loves to watch the stars , don’t worry all will be well.

So Mary and Jo’s meagre belongings were moved, and the new surroundings by Irena were approved. Mary and Jo were happy.

Mary and Jo Part 21

Today is the twenty first day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry. This is also a new chapter.

Image from Pixabay

The angles were excited about the imminent birth. There were emails were aflying and heaven was full of myrth. The Archangels were busy as Gabriel was away, that he didn’t pull his weight was something they could never say.

Image from Pixabay

The holy father and the holy ghost were exhausted trying to contain the twittering and pinging among the heavenly host.

The holy instagram was buzzing fit to burst because let’s face it this new born would really be a first.

Image from Pixabay

Even satan took an interest though he tried hard not to show it. Although he was egging Herod on he kinda wished he’d blow it.

Image from Pixabay

God was secretly excited as he watched and waited. Though in his heart he grieved for how his son was fated.

But let’s get back to happy thoughts the baby is near due and he will be a saviour for me and you.

Mary and Jo Part 20.

Today is the twentyth day of Advent, leading up to Christmas. I would like to re-run my take on the Nativity story. I first wrote this in 2011, in the style of prosetry. This chapter is brand new.

Image from Pixabay

Mary was scared, Mary was not sure she was young and never had a baby before. She’d always been a good girl, never played around. Her world had been blown apart that night Gabe had come knocking at her door! He’d told her she’d been chosen to be a mother pure, this came with certain warning and worries galore.

Gabe said her son was to be a king and his father was God and she’d be the Queen of heaven if she accepted the job. This new king would not be born in a palace of gold with ivory walls but in a two star hotel with cheap carpet wall to wall.

Image from Pixabay

The people of the town would welcome them with open arms and astrologers would bring them gifts as would shepherds from local farms.

Image from Pixabay

There would be a star to mark the place where ere they came to rest and there would always be angels around to give the love and help. Now this had all come about, all Gabe’s words came true but it what he told would happen later that was making her blue.

The fear she was feeling was for her unborn child, the and suffering he would endure was just driving her wild. Mary’s tears were falling and she felt such fear. Jo was out , she was alone there was no with comfort, near. Mary had a sudden urge to get up and run. To keep her presious cargo safe why should such an end be the fate of her darling son.

Just when Mary felt that could not breath that she could take no more, to her delight a beautiful dog and cat came through her door.
