The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Aug. 20, 2022. Key.

Badge by Shelley Krupa..

Hi it’s Saturday and time for us to join LindaGHill for Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Our prompt from Linda this week is: “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “key.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or use it metaphorically. Have fun!

Are you singing in key, or are you playing a keyboard, or am I just off the scale.

Key moments can slip by if we are not paying attention. Keys can mean so many things it can be a pivotal moment in your life, it can be an answer to a problem or a turning point.
Keyhole surgery: Laparoscopy is a type of surgical procedure that allows a surgeon to access the inside of the abdomen (tummy) and pelvis without having to make large incisions in the skin. This procedure is also known as keyhole surgery or minimally invasive surgery.

To keep things under lock and key is to keep them secret. Key Stage is a first stage. If something is key it is important.
I am rambling and this is boring so let’s see if a poem can help.

He sits in the dark room
Drawing keys in the gloom
Keys to open a door
Keys to solve problems galore
Weaving his magic spells
Keys to the stories he tells
They open this , they lock that
Keys to your souls and keys to your flat.
Keys to truth and lies
Keys to happiness and lives.

Alice and Lewis

Alice  opened  up  a new  world when she fell down  the  rabbit  hole

That  was  not  enough  so  through  the Looking  Glass she  stole .

OH! My  word  cried  an  angry Alice

As  she  looked  at  the  Queen of  Hearts  with Malice

Big  White  Rabbit scurries  by

He  can’t  stop he has  to fly

Round  the  corner  a  Walrus  and  a Carpenter

Sit  and  and  discuss the  world in a loud whisper.

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee

Thought  they’d  set  some playing cards  free.

Biscuits  and  pills  that  make  you  tall

Vie  with  those  that make  you small.

Mercurial  Hatters  set  tables  for high  tea

Door mice   slump in  their  sandwiches, so sleepy.

All the  while  by  Dreaming  Spires

Alice  and  Lewis  make sparks  that light  imaginations  fires!

Alice, Alice  your hair’s changed  to  black

What’s  that in your  arms, A Cheshire Cat.

Oh! beware of  his  sharp  teeth  and claws

As confusing  as  all those  keys  to open doors!

Northography have a new visual stimulus posted for your writing pleasure. Taken from http://senzingzen.com/  page. I wanted to take up the challenge.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How many doors, how many floors must we flee down
Must we race down, pace down arms up and face down.
What lies behind the doors, the doorknobs many
strange knobs hob knobs, key holes of which views are there any?
How dark these walls so blue, the floor so black it reaches down to hell
The light at the end of the hall so red, red enough to hide the dead as well.
Is the floor a carpet or linoleum I do not know do you
As I run and rush my way along I cannot tell I don’t even care, it’s true,it’s true.
So enter here this last door with me and let your lust be free
In my hands I caress your key I love it’s cold feel, it awakens things in me.
So take back your long and lusty key and thrust it deep inside my lock , feel free.
I shall grab and turn your knob  I love the reaction it brings, it makes you sob.
So as we dance the dance of lock and key and hob of knob twist harder your key inside my lock so it  may throb.
Excitement gathers  us both up and busts forth all ousing out glorious and messy.
The lock the key, the knob all turning  busting growing flowing pressy!
OOOOOOOOOOOOH!
How many doors, how many floors must we flee down
Must we race down, pace down arms up and face down.
What lies behind the doors, the doorknobs many
strange knobs, hob knobs, key holes of which views are there any?
