Scary October 30

Here we are in the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.

Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month! Well there is only today and tomorrow left until we hit November. Thank you for taking this Spooky Autumnal, Halloween trip with me.

Today’s poem is about the dangers of being out on Halloween Eve.

On this Autumnal night

Raven basks in unholy moonlight.

Tis All Hallows Eve

There is more hidden than you will ever conceive.

Children’s voices giggle and scream

Evil lurks, silent, waiting and unseen

Witches, Ghosts, Vampires, Zombies and Ghouls,

Are out there in the dark happy that tonight Satan Rules.

Today’s poem is all about All Souls Eve.

Rose red snow white

These are the colours of all souls night

Bones being grounded spells being bounded

These are the sounds of all souls night.

Spiders weaving, cauldrons sieving

This is what happens on all souls night

Graves giving up their dead Vampire out to be fed

This is what happens on all souls night.

Witches out dancing, Zombies a prancing

These are the dances for all souls night.

People out screaming nightmares replace dreaming.

These are the symptoms of all souls night.

So beware of rose red lips and snow white skin.

That is where the trouble will begin.

Come

Hither

She gently

Said, beguiling.

He was drawn right in

She got under his skin

Kiss me she lustily said

He could not resist her at all

So she hungrily bit off his head.

Which became pumpkin a lesson to all.

See me now, here I stand.

I am a vision at your command.

I am the stuff of your night

I am your passion and your fight

I am the beauty that you need,

Green of eye and sweet breasts from which you feed.

Red of hair, red lips so lush

Mine is the body that in dreams you crush.

I am beauty, I am bold I am the body you long to hold.

I can take you up higher than the clouds.

I can take you away from the crowds.

I come to you while you sleep

I am the one you long to keep.

You take of me every night, you drink of me all my parts every inch of me you devour.

I arouse you through your sleeping hours.

When you awake you are alone.

I can hear you gasp, I hear you groan.

If you only give your all to me I can set you free.

Open up your soul to me I shall take it , take it all I shall suck it dry

Then into the the night I shall bear you high.

Yes give of your soul to me

I shall never set you free,

But every nerve in you will burn,

You could of escaped but you did not learn.

Ecstasy will bring you an eternal high

I shall ride you til you die .

Today’s poems are about an Autumn walk, one in the morning one at night.

Autumn Morning.

Cold, frosty morning

There is something in the air

I cannot see it but I know it’s there.

Dead leaves crunch under foot

There is no one else around

Something’s in the bushes making a strange sound.

Oh! It’s just a bird it gave me a fright.

Away it goes on its morning flight.

————

Autumn Nights

Cold and damp and dark

Things are moving making the dogs bark.

There’s noises all around me

Something touches my neck something I can’t see.

Bodies in the graveyard are restless to be free.

I feel like the hounds of hell are nipping at my heels

Bad things are moving about

Scary is how it feels.

Today’s poem is about a Halloween Dream.

How long have I been running I just do not know,

Across this dark landscape that I hate so.

Is there an end in sight

Will I escape this tunnel and find the light.

I leave the path and cross the fields

The corn is high in the wind it sways and wields.

Dare I run dare I move.

Is there a balm, my soul to sooth.

Crouching in the long grass by a stream

I pray and pray I shall wake one day from this dream.

Once again I hear the approach

Off the dark soul who on my soul does encroach.

Too late I run I feel his hot breath at my back.

Into the corn I to hide but speed I lack.

His nails scratching at me, my legs like led

Will not carry me. I see the light but it moves away too far too fast .

I fall hard and dash my knee

Too late too late he is upon me.

Fear is closing up my throat

He has me now I can see his eyes gloat.

Just when I can take no more

I fall into the black as I have a thousand times before.

I awake and all is quiet

Immediately feel the need for flight.

How long have I been running I just do not know,

Across this dark landscape that I hate so…..

Today’s poem is Halloween from a Pumpkin’s point of view.

The

Pumpkins

Are giddy

There is something

In the Autumn air

They don’t know what’s coming

Do you really think that’s fair

Does Jack-o’-lantern really want

A lighted candle stuck in is mouth

If they knew they would all be going south.

Well

Really

What can you

Do to calm their

Nerves, and soften the

Blow, we are going to

Scoop their innards out and make

Them in to delicious Pumpkin

Soup. They’ve been told they’re something special.

Now they know the truth, they have all been duped!

Today’s poem is about Nightmares.

When sleep deserts you reason is not far behind.

Panic moves in, and it’s far from kind.

With sanity fleeing, taking sense in its path

It’s like a car crash, a bad aftermath!

Darkness creeps and confusion reins

You can smell the fear like dirty drains.

Open a window and breathe in the night

Calm yourself now there is no need for flight.

Look up to the stars they are laughing at you

They’ve seen night horrors before in fact nothing is new.

The moon and the stars burn with ancient light

Oblivious of you with no care for your plight.

The night is an abandoned tunnel damp and dark.

Image found here

Shadowy and cold echoing to the sound of a vicious dog’s bark.

The climb is steep and narrow there is no rest

You slip and stumble blindly hoping for the best.

Where is the comfort where is the light

When will there be an end to this endless night.

Today’s poem is about trying to hold off death.

Would you stop if I asked you

If I pleaded what would you do.

Would you stay a moment longer

If promised,my love would make you stronger.

Could I slow your path, stop the ravishes of time.

If I showed you love sublime.

Would I halt your advance in any tiny way

Could I cheat death and make you stay.

If the tears that fall upon your face

Could chase off death, make it leave in disgrace.

I would hold my breath for eternity

If it meant that you would stay with me.

Escape

Lost

She ran

Blindly to

Escape the man

Who beat her each night

Sadly into the arms

Of the dark angel of death

Who took her for his very own

Gratefully taking his hand she sighed

Free at last her bruised soul, now she had died.
