K’Lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. Copper, Silver and Gold.

This is my entry for K’Lee’s and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge. #CosPhoChal.

This week it was K’Lee’s choice of Copper, Silver and Gold.

Rules and Pingback here

And at K’Lee’s also.

Above is front and back of a 1797 Penny (Copper) George 3rd..

For Silver a beautiful commemorative 50pence piece in honour of the D Day Landings in WW2.

Finally Gold. My wedding rings. The large one on the right is my actual wedding ring. It is 22 Karat red gold. It belonged to my Grandmother. My Mum passed it on to my hubby for me. He insisted on paying her so she charged him 50p. That was in 1971. The yellow gold ring on the right is my mother’s narrow mis- shapened 9 Karat wedding ring which I was given after her death. The last ring is my gold engagement ring with a sapphire set in platinum. You can guess how old that is. ūüėÄ

              Gold.

Rachel and Lisa spent a quiet morning on the beach the sound of the waves and the mild weather cleared their heads.

They talked about their lives, silently by telepathy. Anyone walking along the beach would of seen a pregnant woman and a large pregnant dog/ wolf.

Lisa told Rachel how her husband and been killed by Vampires in a raid about eight months ago. A week later she had discovered she was pregnant. Rachel asked if she hated the Vampires, because she did. Lisa replied that she hated the war more.

Lisa asked Rachel how she could be in love with Mathew if she hated Vampires. It was a trick question really because she had read Rachel’s mind and knew the answer. Rachel told her the truth and their bond grew stronger.

At midday Lisa and Rachel went to the village to get supplies, both were near their time (to give birth) so they had decided to stock up. As Lisa had warned Rachel the locals were afraid of her but they needed her. They showed their fear by avoiding the two and a few hurled insults at them.

At one point a man spat at them and a woman shout out,”the pregnant bitch has found another pregnant bitch” Lisa ignored the insult but she saw Rachel slow up immediately she told her, “remember ordinary wolves don’t understand humans please ignore them”. Rachel obeyed Lisa and trotted on. They got their supplies and all who looked on would of just seen  the witch and her wolf as they walked home.

That evening they went to the beach to watch the sunset. Lisa marvelled a Rachel’s eyes.. they were the colour of the setting sun, gold. “What is it Rachel” Lisa asked as she watched the warewolf bristle and become alert.

Rachel answered ” Quick we need to get back to the house now. I am certain that is not a bird on the horizon heading our way out of the sun. Get on my back Lisa I can carry you.”

Lisa knew immediately  Rachel was right and did as she was told. Rachel ran across the beach carrying Lisa,they got into the house and lock all the doors and windows.

They looked out at the last rays of the dying sun turn the sky was gold. They saw a lone Vampire circling the beach.

“Thank you Rachel ” Lisa said. After she drew the curtains and lit fire Lisa hugged Rachel and the two slept soundly,Lisa resting on Rachel’s soft and warm fur.

Outside it was dark inside all was bathed in a glow of gold.

NOT THE APRIL A TO Z CHALLENGE : BROCADE, NONET

Brocade  red  and  gold  swish  and  a swirl

OH! she  sets hearts to  fly

Dancing  gaily she

AUTUMN

Ageing  leaves fall to the ground

Ushering  in the end of summer days

Tumbling twirling , furling all around

Under  heaving boughs of harvest golden light plays

Myriads of scurrying animals gather winter stores

Night  draws in and  morning  is dressed in foggy  silver hoar.

As  smoke from a thousand bonfires rise

Unwinding  dads rid the evening train homewards

Turning their eyes to the dying light thought of stake pie and fries

Uniformed school children collect harvest  rewards

Muffled sounds of muted  car tyres

Nipping cold , pinched cheeks as summer expires.

NaPoWriMo,Day28,BLUE, GOLD.

NaPoWriMo Day 28 : Today’s prompt is¬†to pick a color. How many synonyms are there for your color (e.g., green, chartreuse, olive, veridian)? Is your color associated with a specific mood (e.g., red = passion, rage, blue = hope, truth). Look around the room, take a walk ‚ÄĒ note everything you see that is your chosen color.

I have chosen to chose two colours, Blue and Yellow/Gold, first poem is Blue and the second shorter poem is Gold.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blue
Tears burn in these eyes so blue,
Like the azure sky , and deep, deep sea
That separates a sad me from you.
My soul strains to escape and to you flee.
The royal blue of my lustrous gown
Dark and stark lit by creamy pearls
Oh! in each other we felt that we would drown
You remove my hood and watched my hair as  it unfurls.
Apart now with miles between us I stand alone
My heart is broken and I am so blue
I remember watching  as off into the blue you had flown
I search the midnight skies in vein hope of sight of you
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gold

Gold, warm  and glorious we run hand in hand

Feet skipping , daring not to linger too long on the hot golden sand

Sunshine yellow and  red flimsy bikini rocks

Sun hats covering tender pink skin and fair blonde locks.

Golden sun kissed skin , tall and dark eyes sparkling

Warm,shimmering ,glinting golden yellow horizon!

Mary and Jo part7

The shepherds recovering unsure of what they had just seen, the stunning angel with the strange message had looked like a beauty Queen.
Feeding the sheep and making for the town whatever  it was they obviously part of what was going down. One thing was clear, no argument the star was still shining you could see it from here . None of them sure of what any of it meant but that angel could only of been heaven sent.
Mares and Jo were both asleep, angels were with them their safety to keep. Not to mention the staff of the Hotel Delph, even the receptionist was wishing this special couple good health.

At night it was noticed the new star up above and during the day from no where came the doves.

Meanwhile in the town there was a new buzz something new was happening, just what was the fuss. Not like the new style or the new look this would be important , this would make a book!

Magi.com travel so far

Winging towards them the three magi.com checking their charts and computers nothing must go wrong.

They all agreed they did not trust Herod.com There was something about him that was not quite right , the way he had questioned them into the night.

The men on the plane had gifts on their minds they had  brought some for the child , of the most special kind. Frankincense, Myrrh and Gold , well it is a change from a babygrow or a coat to keep him safe from the cold.

So we now have magi.com following their star and the shepherds on their way from near and from far we have angels and doves  and an unborn child who will be born to a gentle mother mild.
