I am cracking up
Don’t look too close I am cracking up, my life’s blood spilling out like drink from a broken cup. Don’t come too close you may be consumed by my grief finally set free after years of seething underneath.
Don’t stare at me please my pain is catching the grief in my heart is carried on the breeze. You have seen me before, the woman at wheel of her car crying , the mother with her son in her arms all blooded and dying.
Don’t worry I will not invade your space the bombs will still drop and in my love’s blood I will wipe my face. Fear is contagious do not look to close you may fall through the cracks in my face, I know you do not believe me you think I am outrageous.
Don’t shout at me I will not disappear you can slam your door, bar your windows but I will still be here. Like everything else in this world I am cracking up and I shall still be looking at you, how ever many beers you can sup.
Don’t look too close I am cracking up, my life’s blood spilling out like drink from a broken cup. Don’t come too close you may be consumed by my grief finally set free after years of seething underneath.
