This week Colleen has selected our words for our prompt. They are Sanctuary & Follow we are to use them synonymously and count our syllables to match our chosen form of poetry. I have chosen a 5/7/5 and a 3/5/3 haiku to express my reaction to our prompt.
seeking a safe place
treading deep in God’s footprints
hoping to find grace.
safe harbour
is my true pursuit
wrapped in peace.

Following each other like rats they ran
0ut of the subway and in to the rain , as one man.
Only to be halted in their flow
by the strains of the most wonderful music they would ever know.
There she stood, radiant in red, locked in space and time.
The music she play was making all the wrongs of the world just fine.
Beautiful she was from her head to her toes
playing the music that will enslave all, where ever she goes!
So out of the underground they came drawn by her music her sweet refrain.
She moved off from the entrance onto the street and into the rain
Those that followed her? Well sadly they were never seen again!
You can still hear her music on the quieter of nights
as she moves through the stations. People ignore her music
for they know if they listen things no longer will be right!
