I got the count wrong on my Florette today so here is a revrised version. Thank you Jane for showing me the error of my ways.
Graveyard chill, death I see
Fog hangs still, not for me.

Fog : Haiku
Out late with the dog
Encased in a cloak of fog
It feels so eerie.

Fog : A Nonet
A light through the fog looks inviting
Familiar sights look just like witches
Damp, misty Jack Frost biting
Noise behind , nerve end twitches
Quiet fosters fear
The light draws near
Shut the door
On the
Fog

This is my entry for prompt for next Monday’s edition of K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, the challenge this week is : Show Us Your Winter’s Light.
We had fog most of the weekend and not much light!
#CosPhoChal
Photo by kind permission of my sister in law DM. The photo was taken Saturday morning on Dorney Common. The middle photo is the original and has had no effects used on it. I think it is truly stunning the fog and the light makes for a really errie almost phantom of the opera feel to it.

All the leaves are dancing swirling down
Undulating in the breeze round and round
Tumbling rumblings underground
Urgently creatures searching for their stores underground.
Mists in the mornings, chilly nights soon be fireworks after Halloween frights!
New seasons Harvest Moon, witches and pumpkin men will be here soon!

The sun’s heat is waning and the nights are drawing in
Chilly winds are swooping round corners and whipping up the leaves
Early morning porridge, make sure you wrap up the cold will nip your skin.
Summer sadly has taken her up her shoes and left us the dark mornings to grieve.
Ready for the harvest ready for shorter days
Time to get out your winter coats and your furry boots
The long and lazy days of summer have vanished in a haze.
Cars driving with their lights on early, listen out for their warning toots!

Ageing leaves fall to the ground
Ushering in the end of summer days
Tumbling twirling , furling all around
Under heaving boughs of harvest golden light plays
Myriads of scurrying animals gather winter stores
Night draws in and morning is dressed in foggy silver hoar.

As smoke from a thousand bonfires rise
Unwinding dads rid the evening train homewards
Turning their eyes to the dying light thought of stake pie and fries
Uniformed school children collect harvest rewards
Muffled sounds of muted car tyres
Nipping cold , pinched cheeks as summer expires.
