Twittering Tales #131 – 9 April 2019

Twittering Tales brainchild of Kat Myrman at Like Mercury Colliding.

Landed.

Rory watched the rain as the plane taxied to its slot. That was the worst flight he’d been on. Turbulence all the way passengers only allowed up for the loo.Serving dinner had been hairy they’d nearly lost the trolley more than once.God he’d never been so grateful to see Heathrow.

Night’s Weave

You  set  me  spinning

My  spirits  winging

Shooting  out on  silken tendrils

Pinging  back  hooked up  on  spindles.

Up into  the black  starry  sky

Floating  free I  soar  and fly.

Silken  webs I  spin  and  turn

Catching  dreams  then  watch  them burn.

Uplifting, a  glorious  high

I don’t need  wings to  zoom  and fly.

I can’t  believe  this  glorious  night

Among  the  star  I  float like  a kite

You  set  me  spinning

My  spirits  winging

Shooting  out on  silken tendrils

Pinging  back  hooked up  on  spindles.

Flying in the Pink

Dreams of flying in the Pink

Once upon a moonlit dream I flew

Carried by a thousand  fairy hands

I am not lying  this was true

Flying weightless covered in  billions of silver  fairy strands.

My hair flying in the breeze

As glow worms light my way.

Over woodlands and lakes just above the trees.

Drifting, sleeping through my flight  towards the light of day.

Gentle  stars  watch my progress

I sleep deeply  never stirring not a blink

Pretty lights adorn my pink and flowing dress

On and on into the   night will I reach the brink.

Once upon a moonlit dream I flew

Carried by a thousand  fairy hands

I am not lying  this was true

Flying weightless covered in  billions of silver  fairy strands.

The Dancer

He could dance  he could  fly

He could leap across the sky.

He could grapevine,he could box

He could shimmy like a silver fox.

He was never praised at work or school

Always he was regarded as the fool!

But away from all prying eyes he was cool.

Watch those feet fly he’s a jewel.

So for now he dances alone

But not forever will he be on his own

Some day soon his dream girl will join him in the zone.

Hopeless

Looking back that second before she took the leap

She smiled into the mirror  at the thought of that creep

Ten she turned ,and widened her smile and addressed her fate.

By the time they found her it was of course too late.

I want to fly

Carry me high, carry me carry me up into the blue sky. I need to float I want to fly. I grow weary of the ties that bind I am so worn and world weary I need to burst forth and leave it all behind.

Draped in royal purple and midnight blue I am ready and willing to break through. Flocks of black ravens wing my heels up, up I go. I grab the thermal warm and alive it is . A perfect steal. I glide and wheel spinning down, down I tumble and twirl gloriously my satin wings unfurl.

Woosh , woosh zoom I dash from horizon to the moon leaving vapour trails in rainbow hue. No not wispy white for me I want to emblazon the view I want all to see me beautiful, amazing, untethered high-flying blessedly, honestly free.

Above the earth for all to see my spirit escaped into orbit mercifully free, OH! thank God at last, cut loose and flying free.
