I am breaking my habit of sticking to one line today because I feel the need to let it all out.
Qué Sera Sera. Fate has decided we are not to go and see Adam Lambert and Queen at the O2 tonight.
First she threw covid at us both, yuck, and now our beautiful Ruby is on a downhill with pain. Okay fate you win we are staying home and resting with Ruby.

Its Saturday morning and time for LindaGHill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt. Linda has decreed :
“Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “page.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!”
Pages of my life.
My life is like an empty page
Karma can fill it with joy or rage
Writing the stories it may like
Then sticks my page upon a spike.
Or fills my page with rainbow colour
Paint me there sister, wife or mother.
The finger of fate writes on my page
It can make me a fool or a sage.

It’s Sunday again and time for Jim Adams to give us our prompt for Song Lyric Sunday.
Our prompt this week is. August 8, 2021 – Fate, Fortune, Luck. My first choice was was so easy, It has to be I should be so Lucky by Kylie Minogue. I was in love with her and Jason Donovan. Also I was number one fan of Neighbours! Yes I know I was married with children.. but I was young.
“I Should Be So Lucky” is a 1987 song performed by Australian recording artist and songwriter Kylie Minogue from her debut studio album Kylie (1988). Released on 29 December 1987 by Mushroom Records and PWL Records, the song became a worldwide breakthrough hit; its image of Minogue on the front cover was shot by David Levine. The song was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman for Minogue, and they went on to produce Minogue’s first four studio albums.

“Soldier of Fortune” is a blues rock ballad written by Ritchie Blackmore and David Coverdale and originally released on Deep Purple‘s 1974 album Stormbringer. Though Deep Purple has never released the song as a single and it has never placed on the record charts, it has developed a cult following over the years, and cover versions have been released by Whitesnake, Opeth, and Black Majesty, and has been covered in concert by Blackmore’s Night.
****
“Twist of Fate” is a song recorded by English-born Australian singer Olivia Newton-John for the soundtrack to the 1983 film Two of a Kind. It was written by Peter Beckett and Steve Kipner, and produced by David Foster. It reached number four in Australia and Canada, while peaking at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 in January 1984, becoming Newton-John’s last top 10 hit there to date. Billboard ranked it as number 42 on its listing of the top 100 singles of 1984.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE 💜.

You may, if you wish, make some kind of link between the Haiku Challenge prompt of (DUST & Weed). and FATE.
The 2 CHALLENGES are SEPARATE but CAN BE combined if YOU CHOOSE to do so.
Welcome to the Décima Poetry Challenge. Each week we’ll be attempting a Décima, also known as an Espinela, poem.
If you don’t know how to write a Décima, click HERE to go to a post on How to Write an Espinela or Décima Poem.
I have combined my Haiku from Monday with the décima so my words to use are Dust, Weed and Fate.
The Awakening.
Who ever said that you own me
This worm has learned it’s not too late.
To change my life, no slave to fate.
You do not own me I am free
I am no more your property
Nevermore dust under your feet
Nor a weed for you to defeat.
No more am I your blank canvas
Cut and scraped for you to distress.
At last I’ve woken, up you see.
