Wedding Etheree.

Two

Lifes join

Together

As one, heart, soul.

Made complete and whole

Today their journey starts

They face a future unknown

From tiny seeds their love has grown

From now on they will have eachother

To have, and hold today and tomorrow.

COLLEEN’S 2019 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 135 #SYNONYMSONLY. Pretty & Ugly

This  week Colleen suggests  we play opposites  for her  Weekly Poetry Challenge . The  words  she has given us  are Pretty and Ugly. Great  words  but  we can not  use  them, no  we must use  them  as synonyms only.

This  part of Colleens Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry.

Skin Deep

Such

Beauty

So comely

As too beguile

The eye and  the heart

Of every man she meets

Truth will out there is no doubt

Her loveliness is but skin deep

The evil inside would  make  you weep

Her goodliness  was  no more  than skin deep

Thursday photo prompt: Forgotten #writephoto

“Please

Don’t leave

Me standing.

Without you my

World would crumble.

It’s you makes me whole

Giving me life and soul.

If you leave me I will fall.

Together we are strong, united.

If you leave me I will be nought at all.”

So spoke the flowers to the old brick wall.

Who smiled and replied “without you I

Am nothing,without you I’d fall.

We need eachother to thrive”

So the fragile flowers

Through mutual care

Lived happily

With the old

Tired

Wall.

Colleen’s 2019 Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge No. 129 SynonymsOnly

This week Colleen Chesebro of the Fairy Whisperer. This week our words to use synonymously are Hobby and Play.. to use in her Weekly Tanka Challenge.

I have written an Etheree this week.

Gamer.

Game

Pastime

interest

Engaging fun

Diverting obsessed

All Consuming passion

Spinning the big wheel of time

The opposite of employment

Fiddling with the knobs, in your free time.

Be it craft or an obsession, it’s dark.

Dead Sunflowers on the way to Assisi.

I

think that

l have never

seen a sadder

sight then glorious

Sunflowers,died,turned to

Green. All standing in a row

With blackened faces just like poor

Souls lost without a place to go.

we

Passed them yesterday as to Asissi

We

Did go.

The rain like

Angels tears did

Flow. The wind was harsh

But it could not stop us.

Sadly cross words, we’d a

Few. Really that was nothing new.

By the time we reached Asissi our

Skies had turned blue, harsh words driven through.

My talented fried Dale wrote a beautiful double Etheree for Crispina’s CCC challenge. Dale very generously said that I had introduced her to the Etheree, well she has nailed it. Even starting with Dead and ending with life.

The poem was about dead Sunflowers and beautifully and skillfully done it is. Do visit Dales link. I have included it above.

The Etheree reminded me of a poem I had written on the same subject some years back. So I dug out the old poem and revamped it into a mirror Etheree.

Thank you Dale, you reminded me of a holiday in Italy 💜

Thursday photo prompt: Setting #writephoto

This is my entry for Sue Vincent of the Daily Echo’s #writephoto, Setting.

I have decided to try and write an Acrostic Etheree.

Setting Sun.

Sun

Ebbing.

The sands of

Time teetering,

In seconds, minutes

Nothing left for it to

Give, save golden memories

Sun set time for recovering

Upon the distant hill she perches

Now night approaches it’s dark arms outstretched.

COLLEEN’S WEEKLY TANKA TUESDAY POETRY CHALLENGES NO. 114 Try & Life Etheree. #SYNONYMSONLY

WELCOME TO COLLEEN CHESEBRO’S TANKA TUESDAY!

Colleen is taking some much needed time off to celebrate Christmas. Starting today, December 11 – December 31st, 2018. There will be NO challenges or recaps until January 1, 2019.

However, Colleen know some of us will want to continue writing your weekly poetry. So, she has listed out the challenge words for the next three weeks.

12/11/18: Try & Life

12/18/18: Fly & Sing

12/25/18: Belief & Joy.

Well this week’s words to use Synonymously are Try and Life.

An Etheree

We

Always

Endeavour

To spend our time

On this planet of

Ours. To fulfill our dreams

We work hopefully to be

Aspiring. To expand our dreams

This time on earth from birth until death

Dreams are all we have so we strive for them.

Colleen’s Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 112, “Cold & Safe,” #SynonymsOnly

This is my entry for Colleen Chesebro‘s, Weekly Tuesday Tanka. The words to use Synonymously are Cold and Safe.

I have used Coleen’s beautiful gif to enhance me Etheree.

The

Winters

Finally

Here, all other

Seasons now are spent

Nature secures her seeds

Deep away from winter’s chill

Her creatures sleep protected too

Whilst winter does her very best to freeze

Mother Nature sole caretaker of all.

Time passages.

Cold

And dark

November

Has now arrived

Nights rent assunder

Loud, bright pyrotechnics

Days short of light, nights coal black

North winds, morning frosts, leaves flying

We watch the old year slowly dieing

Time’s fast passage whips us on to winter.

Scary October 28

Here we are at the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.

Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month!

Today’s poem a Halloween Etheree.

Come

Hither

She gently

Said, beguiling.

He was drawn right in

She got under his skin

Kiss me she lustily said

He could not resist her at all

So she hungrily bit off his head.

Which became pumpkin a lesson to all.
