Colleen’s Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 112, “Cold & Safe,” #SynonymsOnly

This is my entry for Colleen Chesebro‘s, Weekly Tuesday Tanka. The words to use Synonymously are Cold and Safe.

I have used Coleen’s beautiful gif to enhance me Etheree.

The

Winters

Finally

Here, all other

Seasons now are spent

Nature secures her seeds

Deep away from winter’s chill

Her creatures sleep protected too

Whilst winter does her very best to freeze

Mother Nature sole caretaker of all.

Time passages.

Cold

And dark

November

Has now arrived

Nights rent assunder

Loud, bright pyrotechnics

Days short of light, nights coal black

North winds, morning frosts, leaves flying

We watch the old year slowly dieing

Time’s fast passage whips us on to winter.

Scary October 28

Here we are at the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.

Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month!

Today’s poem a Halloween Etheree.

Come

Hither

She gently

Said, beguiling.

He was drawn right in

She got under his skin

Kiss me she lustily said

He could not resist her at all

So she hungrily bit off his head.

Which became pumpkin a lesson to all.

Scary October 24

Here we are at the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.

Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month!

Today’s poem is Halloween from a Pumpkin’s point of view.

The

Pumpkins

Are giddy

There is something

In the Autumn air

They don’t know what’s coming

Do you really think that’s fair

Does Jack-o’-lantern really want

A lighted candle stuck in is mouth

If they knew they would all be going south.

Well

Really

What can you

Do to calm their

Nerves, and soften the

Blow, we are going to

Scoop their innards out and make

Them in to delicious Pumpkin

Soup. They’ve been told they’re something special.

Now they know the truth, they have all been duped!

Colleen’s Weekly #Tanka Tuesday’s #Poetry Challenge No. 105, “Color & Creepy,” #SynonymsOnly

This is my entry for Colleen Chesebro of The Fairy Whisper‘s Tuesday Tanka Challenge. This week I doing an Etheree.

Hues

Darkly

Glow black green

Scary witches

Give you chills unseen

Vampires in unsettling

Reds, robes flowing fangs showing

Unease spreading and fear growing

Tingling spines and shivering

Shadows

Dancing, familiars prancing

time to hide.

Scary October 4

Here we are at the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.

Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month!

Today’s poem another Etheree

She Devil

She

Alone

Lays waste worlds

Beauty is her’s

Yet only skin deep

Her soul a black void

She owns no humanity

Evil spawn of Satan is she

No, never show her any pity

There’s no hope she’s doomed for eternity

Thursday Photo Prompt, Lost, #writephoto.

This prompt of Sue’s has so touch my imagination I have written a second entry, an Etheree.

Fallen

Lost

Souls fall

From high grace

No more to see

Their beloved God’s face

Banned from heaven above

Because of their hidden love

No return, down to earth they fall

I pray their passion will never pall

Is it fair that pure love is their down fall.
