This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s of the Fairy Whisper Weekly Tanka Tuesday.
I need deep damp loam
Darkness, for now, is my home
Soon I will rise up
I will dance in the warm sun
After the rain, my growth done.
Rain soaked leaves drip water
No longer sunbaked or parched
The weather cycles
Just like melting icicles
In sun they evaporate.
