Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 42: (CARE) in the D rhyme line.

Ronovan says : You may, if you wish, make some kind of link between the Haiku Challenge prompt of (ROUGH and Season) mine was a Tanka and it’s here.and this Décima Challenge of CARE in the D rhyme lineThis means you could write a haiku post using the prompt words. Then do a Décima post using this week’s prompt uniting the two with a common message.
The 2 challenges are separate but can be  combined if you choose to do so.

As always I chose to combine.

Rough Season Décima.

© willowdot21

Bitter chill as night and hush falls.
The hedgerows full of sleeping beasts.
That this season often defeats.
Tomorrow and the hunt still calls.
The loss of hungry beasts appalls.
Nature only keeps the strongest
Winter’s cold winds last the longest.
Rough her rules may the weak take care.
She forges onwards harsh but fair.
Until Spring blossoms newly pressed.

This is part of Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Déima.

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 31: (ONE) in the A rhyme line.

You may, if you wish, make some kind of link between the Haiku Challenge prompt of (FIRST & Heal). and ONEI think these might work together with the right story idea.

The two challenges are separate but can be combined if YOU CHOOSE to do so.

Welcome to the Décima Poetry Challenge. Each week we’ll be attempting a Décima, also known as an Espinela, poem.

If you don’t know how to write a Décima, click HERE to go to a post on How to Write an Espinela or Décima Poem.

FIRST & Heal

I adhere to rule number one
Above all else we must do no harm.
Alliences cause such alarm
To reach out until hate is gone
First together as in song.
The end of an era at last
To a new future let’s hold fast
Can we eradicate all sin
Can God’s patience heal from within .
Have we joined the devil’s repast.

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 6 (Eye). This week, it’s the B rhyme spot.

Through deserted streets I wondered
Hiding the real fear in my eye
Not a soul left in the cities.
Gone, nothing left to be conquered.
All doors locked tight none to entered.
Escape to the country I try
Fear of shadows make my feet fly.
The pale moon my only whiteness .
Wearing my cloak of loneliness
To out run death I always strive.
