A Decima

As sure as night follows the day.
Man is never infallible
Nature made sure he’s gullible
Humans will always go astray
There’ll be foibles and flaws at play
The Demons in hades all smile
As men make mistakes all the while.
The devil tallying his toll
Delighting in his crop of soul.
He’ll have them all, soon to defile.

For today’s Décima Ronovanwrite’s has asked us to rhyme the C lines with SMILE. I have also linked this week’s Haiku Challenge words DAY AND FLAW, to the décima.

Twenty four hours

So many mistakes to make

Nothing is perfect.

This is part of Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku Challenge.

August Stanza 4, Day

It is August and so Jane is doing : a chain of images each one suggested by the last word in the preceding poem. They’ll be short, a single image of just a few lines. It will be interesting to see where it ends up by the end of the month.

Kat will be doing short 3,4, or 5 line poems no syllable counts of rhymes, starting with the word ‘August’ on the first day. The last word of the poem will be the first word of day two’s poem, and so on until the end of the month.

Finally I shall be doing all types of poetry but each poem will start with the last word in the preceding poem.

Today an Acrostic Haiku.

Day.

Day breaks with new hope

All looks hopeful all looks right

Yesterday is gone.

Thursday

Wet cold and damp Thursday!

Thursday, tired ,wet and  cold  day

Rushing round  town day, meet for  coffee day

Home wet  day , heavy shopping day

Write  the Christmas  cards day.

Nothing much else to  say  day!

Monday Came.

Chateau looks on the town

Monday came in  in  bright  and  blustery  with rain

Up late  because  sleep  was late  in  coming  again

Croissants hot  and  jammy  for  breakfast with  hot  coffee

The rain  stopped  and out  we  went  to  see  what  we  could  see.

 

Through  villages with  narrow  streets and old  ladies  shopping

Along  roads  so  long  and  straight it  had our  eyes  apopping!

Finally we reached  the Chateau   with  river running by

And  town below. We looked  around  and  time did  fly.

 

Rooms  full of  dead  animals  and  weapons, not  to our taste

Birds of prey, Deer, Elk, and  now extinct wolves, such a  waste.

Moving  swiftly on  we  find  better  rooms with  paintings

History  telling  it’s  story a family  going  back  down the years.

When  we finish  we  walk around  the  little  town

Searching  through nooks and crannies of  streets up  and down.

We returned after we had  seen all there  was  to  see

To  our haven  just in  time  for tea!

 

 

Nightmare Day : Day 13 Nano Poblano

Today has  been a  nightmare, today was just too sad

A day I should not of started

Nothing seemed to go to plan, it was just too bad.

Everything was topsy turvy  everything half hearted.

 

I am only writing this with minutes  left to spare

Rushing to get a post done as the moments slip away

I really want to say something for  Nano Poblano, yes I really care.

So here we go  let’s  press the button  and get this post published today!
