I have chosen to continue my theme from Mondays Haiku Challenge. I actually did a Tanka.

The tree is old, it’s dying now
A cancer has eaten it’s soul.
T’is hollow now where once t’was whole.
Rotting fruit withers on the bough.
Wasps, invited to death’s feast, row
Over sweet rotting apple core
They feast and gorge demanding more.
This is the circle of all strife
Just one pip needs to seed for life
Then appple trees will grow once more.
