This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s Tanka Tuesday.
Colleen Chesebro is on Sabbatical, moving house for her health.. and that’s the truth.
Colleen said: “So, I’m asking my regular poetry challenge participants to keep writing a weekly poem until I get back. (No submission forms) Feel free to link to this post, or not, whatever works best for you. Choose your own words and keep using the syllabic forms: Haiku, Senryu, Haiga, Tanka, Haibun, Cinquain, Etheree, Nonet, and Shadorma. Choose your own words and just have fun. I’ll stop in and comment when I can.”
The two words I have chosen to use synonymously are Global and Warming.
Parched planet syndrome
Polar caps diminishing
All life extinguished
Mother Nature bows her head
Weeps for a planet that’s dead.
