                       Collection

She had always missed out even from very young

And so that was how her collection had begun.

Anything  that  sparkled  anything  that  was  bright

She  would  gather up  and  hide  from others  sight.

 

At  first it  was just  shiny  stones  and  coloured bits of paper

Silver coins and  lost beads  were  the  things  that  after  she would  caper.

Milk tops and  sweet wrappers would often take  her  eye

She  would  gather  them up  and  off  with  them fly.

 

Soon  she  had  a collection that  glinted  like  the sun

Filling up her  little  nest. It  brought her  so much  fun.
