WELCOME TO #TANKATUESDAY! 短歌 火曜日

This week’s challenge from Colleen Chesebro for her Weekly Tuesday Tanka Challenge is Synonyms Only. That means you have to select synonyms for the two words below. You can’t use the two words… instead, you must choose two synonyms for the words Colleen has given us and use them in your poem.

Here’s your two words:

Change & Grow.

I have chosen to write a Tanka using Altered and Flourish.

She reinvented herself, blooming like a tree in spring.
As a butterfly she re emerged, all colours of the rainbow
So different no one recognised her, full of nature’s new life.

Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 24th, 2020

Hi there! I’m here with your 24th prompt for Just Jot it January 2020. Today’s prompt comes to us compliments of Wendy. Thank you so much, Wendy! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there!

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 24th, 2020, is “change.” Use the word “change” any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Well David Bowie, there was a guy who would regularly change his stage persona. At least ten times during his long and varied career he regularly reinvented himself.

  • Ziggy Stardust.
  • Aladdin Sane. …
  • The Thin White Duke. …
  • The Goblin King. …
  • The Blind Prophet.
  • The Mime Bowie
  • The Young American
  • The Man who sold the world
  • Let’s Dance Era
  • Back in the Game

Change for changes sake

He was himself never fake

He brought us such joy

Jusjojan

A poem of two sides.

Today it’s a poem of two sides. All I did was change two words for one in the top line and three words in the bottom line. What a difference that made.

A poem of two sides.

I put on my crown of thorn

And vow no more to mourn

The passing of my days

Lost in depression’s maze

New resolutions I will make

To smile and cope

Pretending it’s not fake

Farewell to joy farewell to hope.

***********

Remove my crown of thorn

And vow no more to mourn

The passing of my days

Lost in depression’s maze

New resolutions I will make

To smile and cope

Pretending it’s not fake

Farewell sadness welcome hope.

Never believe that a few caring people can’t change the world. For, indeed, that’s all who ever have.

Change is Constant

http://www.josephinewall.co.uk/latest/tree_of_4.jpg

Seasons come  and seasons go  but change is constant, it will go on

No matter how you rant, rave  and struggle you won’t escape the throng

How  we all think we can buck  the trend, it can’t  be done my friend

Try  as  you might  you will get caught on the tread mill in the end!

The  four seasons are full of beauty, each one a special delight

The joy  of  a crisp winter morning  and the scent  on a late  summer night

Autumn  afternoons  bonfires smoke rising to a harvest moon.

Then Spring  their little sister  blossoming  not  a second  too soon!

Seasons come  and seasons go  but change is constant life goes around

The mysteries of life are there for all of us  all, miracles  abound.

No matter how you rant, rave  and struggle you won’t escape the throng

How  we all think we can buck  the trend, it can’t  be done my friend

Try  as  you might  you will get caught on the tread mill in the end!
