Welcome back to Weekend Music Share; the place where everyone can share their favourite music.
This week Hugh would like us to share a song from a memorable time in our lives. Hugh would like to thank Erika Kind for the idea for this challenge.
Well the Bloggers Bash is coming up on the 15th of June, it’s in its fifth year. I couldn’t make the first Bash but I have been each time since this year will be my fourth.
Every time I listened to music leading up to the bash this song came up and eventually it become my bash anthem .
Counting Stars by One Republic. Was released in 2013. The song was written by lead singer Ryan Tedder, and produced by Tedder and Noel Zancanella. It was released as the album’s third single on June 14, 2013.
The song has been one of the band’s most successful singles, reaching number one in many countries including Canada and the United Kingdom, number two in the United States, and top ten in 20 countries. It has sold over 1 million copies in the United Kingdom.
The song’s accompanying music video has received over 2.7 billion views on YouTube and is the 13th most watched video of all time on the site. Info from Wiki.
Oh! Yes another song I often use when passing on info or leaving comments concerning the Blogger’s Bash is I am so excited by the Pointer Sisters.

In the last 20 years I have broken my back twice. Where does Five come into this equation, I hear you ask. Well, I am going to share with you Five steps to recovery after a broken back.
Step 1: Positivity. After more than a month in hospital and two of the three operations I needed, I went home. I had to be brave because I had to learn to walk again. That was not easy. Physiotherapy is very important and you need to make yourself do all the exercises you are given. I really needed to push myself to walk at first. I counted lampposts and felt very proud if I could reach two and then turn round and get home.
Step 2: Friends. I discovered who my real friends were. Many dropped me like a stone because I was too hard to deal with. The good part about this was I learnt who my real friends are. The ones who stay around are my diamonds in the dust.
Step 3: Certainty. There will be a lot of fears and pain to contend with. Find something to occupy your mind. That’s how I found blogging. I was seeing a pain psychologist and she suggested I try writing my thoughts down. That is how my blog was born. I can honestly say blogging saved my sanity. I have met so many wonderful people here in the bloggysphere.
Step 4: Medication. This is tricky. You need to find the fine line between the pills helping you and forming a dependency. I got hooked on Tramadol and Gabapentin, both highly addictive. I had to endure 5 years of withdrawal. That’s another story. But with determination and the help of my hubby and my blogily friends I am now pain killer free. I am not pain free but I am off those pills that dragged me down.
Step 5: Perseverance. I can honestly say that if you believe in yourself and are determined you can come back from anything. I wasn’t always sure I would make it but I never gave up. So what I want to say to you is never give up and never give in 💜
Bloggers Bash News From Sacha our leader.
Hopefully, by now you’ve heard the news that The Annual Bloggers Bash has a new home. If you haven’t, then buckle up baby, I’m about to rock your world.
If you’ve never heard of the Bash, then let me enlighten you:
The Bloggers Bash is a social event for bloggers created by me. With the help of my amazing committee, Geoff, Hugh, Suzie, Helen, Graeme and Adam, its purpose is to bring together the blogging community and provide an opportunity for everyone to meet the friends they’ve made online.
And if you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
I can’t quite believe that what started as a quest to meet my strange computer-shaped bloggy buds, has bloomed into a half-decade old bash toddler. Guys, FIVE FREAKING YEARS. FIVE. Half a decade and we’re stronger than ever. Not only has The Annual Bloggers Bash become The Bloggers Bash Ltd, it now has it’s own website.
Now, I know that I need to keep the pretense up that I’m dead on the inside, but indulge me a moment, will you?
The bash has hit its fair share of bumps along the way, but we wouldn’t be here without you guys, and without the genuinely amazing committee.
Every member of the committee works exceptionally hard to create the bash each year, but I want to take a minute to specifically thank Graeme who has taken over the reins for chairing this year, and secondly Suzie who has spent weeks coding and programming the frankly stunning new website. It’s totally on brand, on color, on style, on everything point.
The need-to-knows:
For the old timers of you who are used to coming over here around feb/march and seeing the nomination and voting process roll out. This year, it will be run from the bash website itself. It’s time the bash has its own home and a professional front.
Without further ado, please go check out the new website

SPEAKER ALERT
We’ve also secured our first speaker. I am so super excited for you all to hear Laura Creaven, creator of the hugely popular Full to the Brum blog. Laura will be sharing her blogging success story, answering questions and participating in a panel discussion during the event.
Tickets won’t go on sale until January 1st 2019, and the date of the Bash is 15th June 2019.
Don’t forget to join the Bloggers Bash Facebook grouphere.
Well how did that happen the 4th Annual Bloggers Bash had come and gone. ??
It was the best ever Sacha and the committee excelled themselves every thing was perfect.
Last year I had such a nightmare getting to the Bash. For some reason all the motorways into London from where I live were shut. That resulted in the other roads being rammed packed ! As it got later and later I started to panic so, hubby gave up and suggested I catch a tube from Hatton Cross. I got to the bash in the nick of time! This year there was an important wedding just up the road from us so as hubby was going to drop me off we decided to leave early! We left just after eight and were in Chiswick by 9.25am ….M4 was clear and we sailed through 😁.

A huge hug and vote of thanks to Sacha, Geoff, Hugh, Suzie, Shelley, Graeme, Helen and Adam for working so hard hard all year to make The Bash the Best Yet!💜
My lovely blog sister Ritu gave a really great presentation on how to be a supermum, have a full-time job, balance to children and a husband (who we met and he is a treasure.) And still run a full and popular blog. I think everyone would of come away with help full tips.
Well I have put up my pictures the good the bad and blurred on yesterday’s post Bloggers Bash 2018. A Wonderful Day.
But you will just have to see them again because I just want to share!
Sacha gave up loads of great info about mailing lists very interesting and helpful.
There was also a panel for question time with Greame asking the questions.
There was a raffle and the award ceremonies at intervals all through the afternoon. It was lovely to see those who were there receiving their awards. Congratulations to all nominees and winners, and of course thanks to those who voted without you there would of been no winners.
Okay photos
These two were great fun to meet and winners too Joanne and Isa you can find them
By the way you can find all the nominees and winners here
It was a fabulous day and I was so pleased to meet new friends and old ones too.

One more sleep to Bloggers Bash!.
Goodbye Mexico
Hello England
Well it’s back down to reality with a bang! Home yesterday after eight and a half hour flight. Having had only a short nap on the plane,we were tired. The sun was shining (a rarity here of late) so I got all the holiday washing on the go. Then we found out the Mother in Law, who was 98yrs old yesterday had nothing planned neither hubby’s brother or sister was doing anything to celebrate with her! So we abandoned all hope if sleep and took her out for an Indian meal early evening. She was pleased and enjoyed herself and was spoilt. So after being on the go for 23hrs we finally got to bed 😱!
Today I should of gone to Pilates at 9am but we did not wake up until 10.30am ( I wonder why) so Pilates was out. Well it was hubby’s birthday, yes the day after his Mum’s! So I gave him his pressie and made breakfast. Our middle son who had a day off took us out for lunch as a treat for his Dad! Then we went and got Ruby back from our sister in law and her hubby ( no longer a sister-in-law but dearly loved friend) they always look after Ruby when we are away.
We took Ruby for a walk then had tea then a busy evening sorting things. Hubby rang or texted everyone thanking them for their cards and wishes.
So I only had a chance to check my mail an hour ago. Guess what there was a lovely nomination badge waiting for me… As you can see after wracking my brain I did remember how to put it up on my blog woohoo!
So that has finished of a great day perfectly. All that leaves me to say is thank you to whoever nominated me and another thank you to whoever may have voted for me I am truly honoured and grateful. We have not got much longer to wait to find out who the winners are. I want to wish everyone who was nominated lots of Good Luck and I look forward to meeting those of you who are attending the ABB on the nineteenth….. Not long now.
Well it’s nearly 00.46 and I need to sleep so I must go to bed. I know I am behind reading all your Posts and I am behind with writing too but please bare with me and I shall do my best to catch up with you all.💜💜💜
Above, tired me! Night Night all 💜💜💜💜
