Nature paints a picture daily
Rainbow of colours blown apart
Thrown upon the alter of art
Sping blossom bounces in gayly
Her pastel colours sway palely
Summer sails in all green and blue
Autumn’s russet and golden too.
Winter comes with a frozen lakes
Silver frosts and dainty snowflakes.
Our landscape refreshes daily.

Today’s three things are SPORT,HOOK,CANVAS.

Well what’s the theme?
Can’t you see, really?
Not really all I see is a lot of blobs.
They are not blobs they are runners.
Really, and that huge halo?
Yes,and thats no halo it’s a spot light.
So what’s the canvas about.
You honestly can’t see it?
No!

The Friday Reminder for #SoCS & #JusJoJan 2019 Daily Prompt – Jan. 12th

Our prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “art.” Talk about something that’s hanging on your wall. Add a picture, if you’d like. If you have no art on your walls, talk about something in a museum. Have fun!
Art for Art’s sake.
Many years ago, I really do not remember how long ago it was, I went on a trip to Henley with my sister Frankie.
We had a lovely day and after we had walked along the river we visited some of the shops.
As the afternoon wore on we found an art gallery, we popped inside and I spotted the most beautiful painting of a Dalmatian. I fell in love with him immediately.
The painting is by Mackenzie Thorpe . As I said I fell in love with the painting immediately and even though it was really out of my price range I wanted it. My sister convinced me I should by it as, as she put it ” you work, you earn why not have something you love occasionally.”
So I bought Herbert and his beautiful frame and Frankie and I walked through Henley with my massive and heavy expensive package.
So what did he cost….£99. This may not sound a lot of money for a piece of art but over twenty years ago, when I bought it, that was a princely sum.
My husband was shocked at the price thinking it was very extravagant. Mind you now we both love my piece of art. Herbert has been in the kitchen, the hallway, upstairs and downstairs. He is now in his permanent spot in the living room where we can see him everyday.
We both are glad I invested in this work of art.

Art
Lines upon the paper
Colour upon the blank page
Explosion of Art.
Still life
Still life grey and white
Line on line builds the picture
Art from dark and light
Crayons
Bold lines on the wall
How fast they grow, never slow
To Mum it is art.
I have had to do this early as we have visited tomorrow (Saturday)

Just like being stretched upon the rack
bruised toes and aching back.
Practice practice every day
no time to sooth those pains away.
Willowy thin is hard to maintain
you have to be strict and refuse treats
again and again.
If you grow too wide or too tall
you will loose it all, your dreams will
tumble and fall.
A brief moment of glory portraying
Nutcracker or the Swanlake Story.
A few weeks of fame, reward for a
lifetime of self denial and pain.
Then back in the chorus no one even
remembers your name .
