It’s the third week of the month! Time for an Ekphrastic #PhotoPrompt

This challenge explores Ekphrastic writing inspired by visual art (photographs). Kerfe Roig provided a piece of her art for this month’s challenge.

I have chosen to try a Cromorna. New to me but I think it’s form fits the picture.

Cromorna is a verse form that has compact lines and exacting meter and rhyme developed by Viola Berg.The Cromorna is:
stanzaic, written in 3 quatrains.
syllabic, with 5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3 syllables per line.
rhymed, rhyme scheme abab cbcb dbdb.

Quest.

a search without cease
paper bird
ceaseless hunt for peace
dove unheard

traced in my mind’s map.
paper bird
the answer, a trap
dreams occured

infinite and spacial
it’s life’s spice
all celestial
tossed like dice.

Seen the future  and it’s cover blew .

You see the horror of man

War, lies. Worms in the can.

Abuse sullies  you

Ruined, spoilt you.
