I thought I would have another attempt at changing lyrics. My first is here. Geoff at TanGental did suggest Good King Weneslas but I thought due to the thaw we now have, Here comes the flood by Peter Gabriel, was a little more apt.
The snow is slowly melting now
The children will be sad but not their mums.
The schools will open up again.
But don’t get too excited if you need a train.
Oh! Here comes the flood
All we will be left with is slush and mud.
The trains and planes and buses will not here… Not be here.
Nore much food in shops …in the shops.
The pavements are all lethal now
The lanes undrivable the tankers have been unable to collect the milk. For days pity the cow. And the farmers too.
Oh! Here comes the flood
All we will be left with is slush and mud.
The trains and planes and buses will not here… Not be here.
Nore much food in shops …in the shops.
The homeless will be back on the street
In the wet and cold, spare a thought for those who you meet.
And pray there will be no more frozen rain or sleet, or sleet.
The government and councils will congratulate themselves.
And put their mislaid plans back on the shelves… On the shelves
Oh! Here comes the flood
All we will be left with is slush and mud.
The trains and planes and buses will not here… Not be here.
Nore much food in shops …in the shops.
Still so many people without power
The must tired, no heat or cooking no hot shower.
They say there is still more snow and freezing rain to come.
But here it’s thawing temperatures up even seen the sun… fleetingly
Let’s hope the people in trapped cars trains
Are rescued soon, an end to their pain!
But did they all need to travel with a red snow warning.
Oh! Here comes the flood
All we will be left with is slush and mud.
The trains and planes and buses will not here… Not be here.
Nore much food in shops …in the shops.

Again huge thanks to farmers , not only for coping with looking after their livestock and having to pour away untold gallons of milk but also helping people that got stranded. To care workers, Drs, Nurses, all three emergency services. To meals on wheels who delivered to the old infermed, to charities and shelters infact thank to anyone who helped.
To anyone who drove out in the red snow warning was your journey nessacery and would you do it again,(if you got stuck on the motorway)
I do hope there will not be too many floods. Be safe out there all of you. 💜💜💜💜💜
Oh! Here comes the flood
All we will be left with is slush and mud.
The trains and planes and buses will not here… Not be here.
