Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 148 #SynonymsOnly

It’s Tuesday and time for Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge.

Here are your two words for Here are your two words for this week: Empty & Space. Now the twist is we can only use synonyms for these words. I have chosen to write a Tanka. Read into this poem what you may. I feel it has more than one meaning.

EMPTY & SPACE

Filled with nothingness

The void is a vast expanse

We travel alone

Each locked in hollow feelings

Spent, expired in the dead zone.

This is part of Colleen’s poetry challenge.

Only he can transform your skin

Oh! It hurts but it’s what you want.
