This is my second submission to TDWC 2025 it part one of a two partner. I have used Lois’s door.

Morgarna was sitting in the garden a triple Bacardi and coke on ice in one hand and a cigarette in the other. The sun was setting yet it was still warm. Gail was in the kitchen , the aroma from her latest curry recipe was wafting down through the trees in the orchard. This is peaceful Morgarna thought…instantly kicking herself as she did! Merlin was in his lab working on his laptop when the *TASC phone beeped. Absentmindedly he reached out and answered it. Gail was dishing up dinner as Merlin slipped past the kitchen on his way to the garden. “That smells amazing” he said as he left the house. Gail halted mid spoonful and replied” was that the T.A.S.C. I heard I was just dishing up and it won’t keep!” “Time and space girl, time and space no need to worry nothing can spoil your curry! “ Morgarna looked up at Merlin as she lit another cigarette….”I know that bloody look , I have only just got back and not even had a bath or eaten yet!” “Babes, it’s important ” It’s always bloody important ” snarked Morgarna! There was no point in arguing the toss and Morgarna knew this Merlin always won …he had blood magic on his side! With a huge sigh Morgarna grabbed her bag and as the anomaly came into sight she jumped.
Morgarna’s Doc Martens hit the pavement she smiled, New York ! Well actually Brooklyn but who’s to argue.
Getting her bearings Morgarna got her iPad out of her bag and checked her time and date yes she was in the right place at the right time .
A Morgarna rounded the corner she saw the parcels on the doorstep of 210 East. Perhaps, she thought she could recover the boxes and be back in time for that curry. Crossing the road she had to leap out of the way of a big black Hummer. It careered to a stop outside the door of 210 East. The passenger jumped out and grabbed the packages. He looked across at Morgarna and did the “I’m watching you” sign and dashed off down the road! Well put out Morgarna watched him disappearing at speed down the block.
Just as she was going to chase after him she heard the roar of the Hummer coming right at her. Then everything went black?
Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown.The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light.
My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well.
I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

Yes Morgarna is a long time Character. She is a time travelling immortal, she works with Merlin he’s a time travelling immortal wizard. There is also a ghost called Gail and there are two other characters who occasionally pop up. Morgause Morgarna’s sister and Rosanna a dream traveler! They can all get very noisy in my head especially Morgarna . 💜💜💜💜
