Well I was 50yrs in 2003 and so I was going to go with ..mmm but then I thought no I want to go with Believer! so by 2017 when this came out I was 64yrs. I love this song just because I do. Funnily enough my eldest grand son really likes it too and I often hear him singing it.

Believer” is a song by AmericanĀ rockĀ bandĀ Imagine Dragons. The song was released on February 1, 2017, throughĀ Interscope RecordsĀ andĀ KidinakornerĀ as the lead single from the band’s third studio album,Ā EvolveĀ (2017). It was written byĀ Dan Reynolds,Ā Wayne Sermon,Ā Ben McKee,Ā Daniel Platzman,Ā Justin TranterĀ and its producersĀ Mattman & Robin.

“Believer” peaked at number four on the USĀ BillboardĀ Hot 100, becoming the band’s third top ten single after “Radioactive” and “Demons“. It also reached the top ten in Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Switzerland. The song received a notable boost in popularity after it was used in the season finale for the first season of theĀ CW’s Riverdale. The song was played heavily in advertisements, notably for theĀ Nintendo SwitchSuper Bowl LIĀ advertisement, and several movie and television trailers. It became the fifth best-selling song of 2017 in the United States andĀ one of the best-selling singles of all time. As of November 2022, the song has amassed more than 2.2 billion streams onĀ Spotify.Ā On January 8, 2019, another version of the song was released, featuring American rapper,Ā Lil Wayne. A Halloween mix was released on October 31, 2022, a promo of the song appearing in the October 27, 2022 episode ofĀ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

First things first
I’ma say all the words inside my head
I’m fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh-ooh
The way that things have been, oh-ooh

Second thing second
Don’t you tell me what you think that I could be
I’m the one at the sail, I’m the master of my sea, oh-ooh
The master of my sea, oh-ooh

I was broken from a young age
Taking my sulking to the masses
Writing my poems for the few
That look at me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me
Singing from heartache from the pain
Taking my message from the veins
Speaking my lesson from the brain
Seeing the beauty through the…

Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down and build me up, believer, believer
Pain!
Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from…
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

First things first
Can you imagine what’s about to happen?
It’s Weezy the Dragon, I link with the Dragons
And we gon’ get ratchet, no need for imaginin’

This is what’s happenin’
Second thing second, I reckon immaculate
Sound about accurate
I know that strength, it don’t come, don’t come without strategy
I know the sweet, it don’t come without cavities
I know the passages come with some traffic
I start with from the basement, end up in the attic
And third thing third
Whoever call me out, they simply can’t count
Let’s get mathematic, I’m up in this, huh

Is you a believer?
I get a unicorn out of a zebra
I wear my uniform like a tuxedo
This dragon don’t hold his breath, don’t need no breather
Love you Ms. Cita, the son of a leader
I know the bloomin’ don’t come without rain
I know the losin’ don’t come without shame
I know the beauty don’t come without hurt

Hol’ up, hol’ up, last thing last
I know that Tunechi don’t come without Wayne
I know that losin’ don’t come without game
I know that glory don’t come without…
Don’t come without…

Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down and build me up, believer, believer
Pain
Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from…
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

Last things last
By the grace of fire and flames
You’re the face of the future, the blood in my veins, oh-ooh
The blood in my veins, oh-ooh
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited ’til it broke open and rained down
It rained down, like…

Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down and build me up, believer, believer
Pain
Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from…
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

K.L.Caley’s#writephoto. Canon

Well Morgarna is back still traveling on the Camel train with the long dead Zaphra…what’s Zaphra’s real story and is Merlin messing Morgarna about again. This is part of K.L. Caley’s #writephoto.

..

As the morning went on and sun got hotter Morgarna and Zephra found they could converse telepathically which was handy because that way they were not restricted by those around them overhearing them.
Zephra told Morgarna that she had been married to a minor Pharo and they had been very happy together. They were healthy and rich and caring of their kingdom and their citizens.
Laughing ryely Zephra added “if you think that’s too good to be true…it was. Sadly I had become complacent and had taken my eye off the ball. Seems my husband was busy chasing one of the temple’s priestesses.”
Morgarna rolled her eyes and replied “really? well nothing surprises me. So what happened….?”
Taking a deep breath Zephra continued. “She plotted behind my back, poisoning the Pharos heart against me. Little words here false letters there until he was convinced that I was too old and too ugly..”
“Hang on there” spluttered Morgarna, “too old, too ugly ” your not that now girl and you’ve been dead for centuries! “
“Well it surprising what pert tits and a touch of kolh and a magic potion can do. Soon I was being sidelined and then the rumours started about me. “I was bad , I was a witch, I was the reason the crops failed and we had floods.”

The caravan had stopped at an Oasis for lunch, some of the traders were setting up stalls and camps, they would be staying until the camel trail returned when they would rejoin it. Other traders were packing up ready to join the train. The few tourists and their guide were resting in the shade and being served food and drink.
Morgarna listened to Zephra as they sat in the shade drinking tea and smoked a shisha pipe.
“So Morgarna asked what can I do to help, you know I can’t change history, as much as I’d like to or kill anyone in the past …. obviously you and Merlin have spoken and have agreed a task for me to carry out”

Zephra shifted on her cushion then looked Morgarna in the eyes, ” I know Merlin explained that I can’t kill that evil witch or castrate my husband because their descendants loom huge in history and so much of today would never be quite the same….. Actually, though I am not part of this time so I cannot change it.”
Morgarna could feel the anger literally reaching out from Zephra, under control but seething.
“What I need is to find my amulet I have been lost without it “
Morgarna heard a few alarm bells ringing in her head…why does she want an amulet ….
Just as Morgarna was going to answer Zephra the *Khabir interrupted them, “Ladies” he said “We are on the move now are you ready to leave ” it was an order more than an inquiry.

So Morgarna found herself back travelling on the camel train but now she was silent she was concerned about Zephra’s intentions. Truly she was worried why was an amulet so important? Amulets usually had magical powers and ergo they were trouble!

That evening they stopped at an oasis outside of a desert fort. After dinner Morgarna was sitting quietly having a cigarette watching the stars. As she sat quietly she saw Zephra’s spirit horse arrive. Zephra mounted the horse and was off into the night.
Stubbing out her cigarette Morgarna took off and followed her.

An hour later Morgarna landed quietly in the shadows just in time to see Zephra entering a pyramid. Quickly she followed her in. Down tunnels and chambers through walls deeper and deeper they went. Both Zephra and Morgarna floating so there was no noise all was silent even the beautiful spirit horse made no sound.

Eventually they reached the very depths of the pyramid, Morgarna held back hiding in the shadows. She watched as Zephra touched a hidden panel on the wall and entered the final inner chamber, there bedecked in gold were two sarcophagi. Morgarna watched as Zephra strained and prized open the female sarcophagus and pulled the golden amulet from around the mummy’s neck. Then she raised both arms and brought them down as hard as she could on the beautiful mask that covered the prietesse’s face, smashing it to a thousand pieces. ….
Morgarna was shocked…truly shocked and involuntarily she gasped.
Zephra spun around and looked Morgarna in the eyes. “What are you doing here ? How did you follow me?”
Morgarna took a deep breath and said, “Give me that amulet Zephra you cannot just steal it ! “
‘I can and I will ” screamed Zephra.
Morgarna reached out to grab the amulet but Zephra scratched Morgarna’s face and arm and Morgarna winced with pain as blood ran down her face and arm!
Suddenly the Anomaly appeared in the tomb and Zephra jumped and was gone.

“Nooooo!” Screamed Morgarna into the pitch black of the chamber! Her face and arm burned and her pride was hurt she let out a huge scream of pain and rage!
Just at that second a second Anomaly appeared and she jumped.

Morgarna landed still screaming Infront of a black rainsplattered cannon looking out of a battlement. In the distance she could see a town and a monument on a hillside

“Merlin” she screamed, “what the fuck ? you bastard what’s going on! “

*Khabir the title of the man in charge of a camel train.

Chammak Challo” is a song performed by Akon and Hamsika Iyer, and composed by AkonGiorgio Tuinfort as well as music director duo Vishal–Shekhar (Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani) and by Gobind Singh, as a part of the soundtrack for the 2011 Bollywood film Ra.One. It is Akon’s first musical collaboration with Indian artists. There are four other versions of the song in the album, including a remix by Abhijit Vaghani, another remix by DJ Khushi and an international version sung solely by Akon. The song, along with the rest of the soundtrack, was officially released on 21 September 2011. However, the song faced controversy when the rough version was leaked on the Internet on 31 May 2011.

I have chosen James Blunt and Monsters. The video is beautiful, it was made with his father. The tears are real. I love this song and this video.

About the siger.

James Blunt (born James Hillier Blount; 22 February 1974) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. A former reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards regiment of the British Army, he served under NATO during the 1999 Kosovo War. After leaving the military, he rose to fame in 2004 with the release of his debut album Back to Bedlam, achieving worldwide fame with the singles “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover“. Information Wikipedia

About the song

James Blunt’s father Charles, himself a kidney donor, was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease. James Blunt wrote “Monsters” to “express his feelings about his father and his illness, almost as if it’s a touching farewell to his father”. In an interview with Good Morning Britain Blunt said.

“Really that has been an amazing moment. Because when you realise your father’s mortality it’s a great opportunity to say the things I’d like to say to him. So I have written a song called Monsters for him.”

In the same interview he made a plea for type O kidney donors to step forward. In January 2020 MSN reported Blunt’s father had been scheduled for a transplant. Information Wikipedia

James father survived happily.

Oh, before they turn off all the lights
I won’t read you your wrongs or your rights
The time has gone
I’ll tell you goodnight, close the door
Tell you I love you once more
The time has gone
So here it is

I’m not your son, you’re not my father
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye
No need to forgive, no need to forget
I know your mistakes and you know mine
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn
To chase the monsters away

Oh, well, I’ll read a story to you
Only difference is this one is true
The time has gone
I folded your clothes on the chair
I hope you sleep well, don’t be scared
The time has gone
So here it is

I’m not your son, you’re not my father
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye
No need to forgive, no need to forget
I know your mistakes and you know mine
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn
To chase the monsters away

Sleep a lifetime
Yes, and breathe a last word
You can feel my hand on your own
I will be the last one
So I’ll leave a light on
Let there be no darkness, in your heart

But I’m not your son, you’re not my father
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye
No need to forgive, no need to forget
I know your mistakes and you know mine
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn
To chase the monsters away
