Endurance

Either you give up or you endure
Never give in is my motto
Don’t expect me not to try
Under pressure’s when I
Really start to thrive
And endurance
Never will
Cease or
End.

Pity Poor Charlie?

This little tale of woe has been fluttering around my head for a while, so when I saw Geoff’s magnificent A Right Royal Nonsense today I felt empowered to add my twohapth. Cheers Geoff.

Pity poor Charlie

Pity poor Charlie he’s had such a wait
Always being patient has been his fate.
Mummy and Papa were determined to stay
So he sat in the wings while they held sway.
As first child he was kept at arms length
So he did his best and played to his strength.
Wife number one outshone him by far
But she hatched and dispatched like a star.
But she wasn’t quite royal in hiding her feelings
And by telling her tale sullied their dealings.
Wife number two is up for the work
She knows what’s expected and she’ll never shirk.
His children too outshone him by far
Then their spouses also eclipsed his star.
Now finally his time to shine is near
Soon his coronation will be here.
Unfortunately the spare has thrown in a spoke
Of shutting him up there isn’t a hope
He’s dishing the secrets and selling the dirt
He’s got security and Dad on high alert.
That is definitely not the royal way
And Harry has left the firm in disarray.
Me thinks the Royals have all had their day!
