This week I have chosen to write a Tanka.
New & Experience.
A novel feeling
An encounter with nature
Never before felt
Completely out of the blue
To be one with the ocean.

If I could live by a warm ocean…
The little creek at the end of my yard is my water connection.
It is fun to watch others experience the vastness of the ocean for the first time 🙂

The creek is usually cold too. But there is life in it, frogs, turtles and fish. I’ve even seen mink or otter playing in it.

Oh… I’ve seen (during the day mind you) an owl… a baby fell out of one of my trees (it was ok… but I talked to it for about ten minutes at a distance, before it flew away). And a small brown bat one afternoon – something must have disturbed where it had been… so it took a nap on my willow tree!!
