#TankaTuesday Weekly Poetry Challenge No. 288: #Tastetherainbow-Colour Poetry

Its Tuesday again and time for Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge. Colleen says “Hello everyone. Happy September! This week, choose your own syllabic form and a color to feature in your syllabic poem. Think about the different ways you can use color in a poem.”

I have chosen a Tanka today. As I am going to a wedding later this week I have used it loosely as my subject. My colours are red and white.

The bride flows in white
Red-blooded groom full of lust
Hearts beating with pride
All part of Nature’s big plan
Yes it’s all procreation

Is that a Rowan tree in your photo, Willow? Here in America we call them Mountain Ash. I love the orange berries. Have fun at the wedding. Your nails are adorable. πŸ’š

I hope you have a lovely time at the wedding. It’s been so long since anyone I know has gotten married. I wonder, why do we always think of the men as the lustful ones? Surely many a bride has met his red-blooded lust-fullness!

Found I had lots to consider in the words that you have used in your tanka. Very clever! 😊
