Ronovan Writes Sijo Wednesday Poetry Challenge #18. Use REGRET as your inspiration this week.

As part of Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Sijo this week I have written two separate Sijo. The first about regret about our dieing planet.

Regret

Why did we not say more, why did we not do more, to help.
We sorted the rubbish, measured the water, unplugged plugs.
Unfortunately time ran out, there’s no point to regret our planets demise.

My second Sigo is about the sun and the moon.

Fabulous painting by Sue Vincent.

The Race.

Standing on the edge of tomorrow bathed in nights silver
He felt regret, he was alone, she would be here soon all golden and fresh faced.
She approached he ran, unable to deny his nature.

Beautiful writing, Willow. Thank you for the painting by Sue. I’m so sad about the planet. We aren’t saving our home.
