We’re born to the treadmill, step by step we toil.
Some work till they die, others have lives of leisure. Gaia just moved on with the seasons.
We should work to live not live to work, that’s the nature of things .

This is part of Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Sijo Challenge.

    Oh the feels

If you enjoy what you do for work then it’s not like working at all. One of the best things I have ever done is quit the rat race and work for myself doing what I love most. Now I have more time to be in tune with Mother Earth – I might not be rolling in £50 notes but my life is richer than that

Thank you, dear Willow, for a lovely reminder of that

That’s my credo! Work to live; not live to work

The image of the treadmill burns in my mind – effective word.

Well written. Lucky are those who enjoy and like the work they are doing.

HI Willow, I agree that we should work to live and not live to work although email and iphones have made this difficult by raising expectations.
