#TANKATUESDAY Weekly #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 261, 2/15/22 #PHOTOPROMPT.

WELCOME TO #TANKATUESDAY!

Diana Peach selected the image for this week’s photo prompt. It’s an image from Pixabay.com, compliments of “Pretty sleepy.”

Colleen says, “Remember, we can see what’s in the image, so write your poem using the image as an inspiration. Don’t just describe what you see in the image. Use your imagination. Open your third eye and see what’s behind the red door! Think about metaphor and allegory. Just remember to check what form you’re using. Some of the Japanese forms frown upon the use of metaphors.”

I have chosen an Etheree , a single one as I believe time is a thief and we are it’s slaves so this is a tale of one half. Yet you can read it from top to bottom or bottom to top.

Portal

So philosopher of many colours
We are your slaves, and so, bound to you.
Yes master of theft you steal time.
We stand outside the portal
Imagining what lies
Beyond the red doors
A Universe?
A planet?
Nothing?
Void?

Choose your own prompt. East meets West Fusion. A Very Random Challenge ~ Love Is In Da Blog 2022

Today Bee has asked us to choose our own prompt. Well I love a good cross over and here is one of my favourites. No I love all sorts of music but this fusion of classical and Indian music and dance is I think delightful. Plus it has a lovely romantic ending… Oh! It’s just so colourful and happy!

Shine is the second album released by the classical crossover string quartetBond. It peaked at No. 26 on the UK Albums Chart, and went Gold in six countries. While it peaked at No. 61 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart, it spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Classical Crossover charts. Bond described the album as having “slightly more ethnic undertones” than their first album.
