Its Sunday and Bee would like us to pick a love song from an artist born on February 6th. ….Bee you’re not messing are you!
Well I have to choose two because two of my favourite singers Rick Ashley and Axel Rose both born February 6th .. ( notice initials of the names are reversable. R.A. and A.R.)
Richard Paul Astley (born 6 February 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and radio personality, who has been active in music for several decades. He gained worldwide fame in the 1980s, having multiple hits including his signature song “Never Gonna Give You Up“, “Together Forever” and “Whenever You Need Somebody“, and returned to music full-time in the 2000s after a 6-year hiatus. Outside his music career, Astley has occasionally worked as a radio DJ and a podcaster.

Also here one from the gorgeous Axel Rose.
W. Axl Rose (born William Bruce Rose Jr.; born February 6, 1962) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. David Bowie aced this subject with Starman, All the young dudes, and Space Oddity and Ashes to Ashes so I went in a completely different direction.
“I’m the Urban Spaceman” was the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band‘s most successful single, released in 1968. It reached #5 in the UK charts. The song was written by Neil Innes—who won an Ivor Novello Award in 1968 for the song—and produced by Paul McCartney and Gus Dudgeon under the pseudonym “Apollo C. Vermouth”. The B-side was written by Vivian Stanshall. A well-known staging of the song involves Innes performing solo while a female tap dancer performs an enthusiastic but apparently under-rehearsed routine around him. This skit originally appeared in a 1975 edition of Rutland Weekend Television, with Lyn Ashley as the dancer, and was more famously revived in the 1982 film Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl with Carol Cleveland taking over the role. *******
I’m the urban spaceman, baby; I?ve got speed I’ve got everything I need I’m the urban spaceman, baby; I can fly I’m a supersonic guy
I don’t need pleasure I don’t feel pain If you were to knock me down I’d just get up again I’m the urban spaceman, baby; I’m makin’ out I’m all about
I wake up every morning with a smile upon my face My natural exuberance spills out all over the place
I’m the urban spaceman, I’m intelligent and clean Know what I mean? I’m the urban spaceman, as a lover second to none It’s a lot of fun
I never let my friends down I’ve never made a boob I’m a glossy magazine, an advert in the tube
I’m the urban spaceman, baby; here comes the twist– I don’t exist
The second choice is from Bjork a beautiful piece I hope you like it as much as I do.
Desired Consolation is from Bjork’s album Medúlla the fifth studio album by Icelandic recording artist Björk. It was released on 30 August 2004 in the United Kingdom by One Little Indian Records and in the United States by Elektra Entertainment. After the release of her electronic–influenced previous album Vespertine (2001), Björk intended to make an album almost entirely a cappella constructed with human vocals. For the project, she collaborated with vocal artists such as Mike Patton of rock band Faith No More, beatboxers Rahzel and Dokaka, as well as Inuit throat singerTanya Tagaq. The album’s title derives from the Latin word for “marrow”

It’s tricky when you feel someone Has done some sin on your behalf It’s slippery when your sense of justice Murmurs underneath and is asking you
How am I going to make it right How am I going to make it right
With a palm full of stars I throw them like dice (repeatedly) On the table (repeat, repeatedly) I shake them like dice And throw them on the table repeatedly (repeatedly) Until the desired constellation appears
How am I going to make it right How am I going to make it right How am I going to make it right (And did you hear how am I going to make it right)
How am I going to make it right How am I going to make it right (How am I going to make it right)

I need a little time to think it over I need a little space just on my own I need a little time to find my freedom I need a little
Funny how quick the milk turns sour, isn’t it, isn’t it? Your face has been looking like that for hours, hasn’t it, hasn’t it? Promises, promises turn to dust Wedding bells just turn to rust
Trust into mistrust
I need a little room to find myself I need a little space to work it out I need a little room all alone I need a little
You need a little room for your big head, don’t you, don’t you? You need a little space for a thousand beds, won’t you, won’t you? Lips that promise, fear the worst Tongue so sharp, the bubble burst
Just into unjust
I’ve had a little time to find the truth Now I’ve had a little room to check what’s wrong I’ve had a little time, and I still love you I’ve had a little
You had a little time and you had a little fun, didn’t ya, didn’t you? While you had yours, do you think I had none, do you, do ya? The freedom that you wanted bad Is yours for good, I hope you’re glad
Sad into unsad
I had a little time to think it over Had a little room to work it out I found a little courage to call it off I’ve had a little time
I’ve had a little time I’ve had a little time I’ve had a little time

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither wildly as they slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind Possessing and caressing me
Jai guru deva, om Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letterbox they They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Jai guru deva, om Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world
Sounds of laughter shades of life are ringing Through my open ears inciting and inviting me Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns It calls me on and on across the universe
Jai guru deva, om Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world Nothing’s gonna change my world
Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva Jai guru deva
