It’s the Daily Prompt! Today is January 11th, so this is the 11th prompt for Just Jot it January 2022, and it’s brought to us by Willow. Thanks, Willow! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there, if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 11th, 2022, is “cosmopolitan.” Use the word “cosmopolitan” any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Thank you Linda for choosing my prompt..

typically I am fashionably late!

Please excuse the lyrics of this song it was written in a much less politically correct era. The sentiments are good though and perfect for the prompt. Cosmopolitan, is a word for a coming together of all cultures, every city in the world apart from a few in war torn areas are now Cosmopolitan. It is also a cocktail.

A cosmopolitan, or informally a cosmo, is a cocktail made with vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed or sweetened lime juice. Wikipedia.

It is also a magazin popular in the UK and US. Wikipedia

The city planners met and discussed the future :

We want it big , colourful and a blend of every culture.

Yes we must be inclusive of all cultures, creeds and colours.

Indeed we must cater for ever taste, a restaurant of every type, shops selling all ethnic clothes .

Of course we need to make sure everyone is included, a melting pot!

Right truly Cosmopolitan!

*****

That was the plan….but planners seldom get it right ! So what happened to the planners……did their noses begin to rust?

#TankaTuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 256, Colleen’s Specific Form: haiku

WELCOME TO #TANKATUESDAY!

This week’s form is: Haiku.

I have decided to write three Haiku, using the three forms I know, 5/7/5, 3/5/3 and 3/2/3.

I suffer from Raynaud’s disease it was undiganosed as a child so winter is full of cold memories. I also took the music of Tori Amos as an inspiration.

I missed last week’s due to my eyes but it’s not going away over night so I am pushing forward in to this new year happy to be in such great company.

in early winter
the earth stands frozen in time
hibernation’s key.
