Yes it’s been a barrel of laughs, stress, illness, sleeplessness and worry. A real breeze? Yup I am being facetious!
All I can say is I made it through the month and I am still standing…. Bonus I started Jusjojan, I did the middle and got back in time to crawl over the finish line .

The Hunger Games is a 2012 American dystopian action film directed by Gary Ross and based on Suzanne Collins‘s 2008 novel of the same name. It is the first installment in The Hunger Games film series and was produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, with a screenplay by Ross, Collins, and Billy Ray. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, and Donald Sutherland. The film is set in a dystopian post-apocalyptic future in the nation of Panem, where a boy and a girl from each of the nation’s 12 Districts are chosen annually as “tributes” and forced to compete in The Hunger Games, an elaborate televised fight to the death. Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) volunteers to take her younger sister’s place when her sister was initially selected as tribute. With her district’s male tribute, Peeta Mellark (Hutcherson), Katniss travels to the Capitol to train and compete in the hunger games.
“Elastic Heart” is a song by Australian singer Sia, featuring Canadian singer-songwriter the Weeknd and US record producer Diplo, taken from the soundtrack for the film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. Andrew Swanson assisted the artists in writing the song, with production handled by Diplo and US producer Greg Kurstin. It was released on 1 October 2013 as a single from Catching Fire by RCA, Republic and Lionsgate. “Elastic Heart” peaked at number 7 on the singles chart of New Zealand and was certified gold by the Recorded Music NZ. It also appeared on the charts of Australia, Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
And another one bites the dust
Oh, why can I not conquer love?
And I might have thought that we were one
Wanted to fight this war without weaponsAnd I wanted it, I wanted it bad
But there were so many red flags
Now another one bites the dust
Yeah, let’s be clear I’ll trust no oneYou did not break me
I’m still fighting for peaceI’ve got thick skin and an elastic heart
But your blade it might be too sharp
I’m like a rubber band until you pull too hard
I may snap and I move fast
But you won’t see me fall apart
Cos I’ve got an elastic heartI’ve got an elastic heart
Yeah, I’ve got an elastic heartAnd I will stay up through the night
Let’s be clear won’t close my eyes
And I know that I can survive
I’ll walk through fire to save my lifeAnd I want it, I want my life so bad
I’m doing everything I can
Then another one bites the dust
It’s hard to lose a chosen oneYou did not break me
I’m still fighting for peaceI’ve got thick skin and an elastic heart
But your blade it might be too sharp
I’m like a rubber band until you pull too hard
I may snap and I move fast
But you won’t see me fall apart
Cos I’ve got an elastic heartI’ve got thick skin and an elastic heart
But your blade it might be too sharp
I’m like a rubber band until you pull too hard
I may snap and I move fast
But you won’t see me fall apart
Cos I’ve got an elastic heartI’ve got thick skin and an elastic heart

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels by British author C. S. Lewis. Illustrated by Pauline Baynes and originally published between 1950 and 1956, The Chronicles of Narnia has been adapted for radio, television, the stage, film and computer games. The series is set in the fictional realm of Narnia, a fantasy world of magic, mythical beasts and talking animals. It narrates the adventures of various children who play central roles in the unfolding history of the Narnian world. Except in The Horse and His Boy, the protagonists are all children from the real world who are magically transported to Narnia, where they are sometimes called upon by the lion Aslan to protect Narnia from evil. The books span the entire history of Narnia, from its creation in The Magician’s Nephew to its eventual destruction in The Last Battle.
The music of the Chronicles of Narnia film series was recorded and released in conjunction with the post-production and releases of each of the three corresponding films. Harry Gregson-Williams, composer of the first two films and creator of main theme of series.
Gregson-Williams co-wrote a song with Imogen Heap, “Can’t Take It In”, which Heap recorded for the soundtrack. Originally, Dido submitted a song for the soundtrack, but it was considered unsatisfactory. Imogen was approached after a suggestion from the soundtrack’s supervisor, who managed a band with whom she had toured. The song was written, recorded, produced and mixed in a week; Heap said she needed “like a year more than I got” and considered the experience of handing in the song an hour after completing it “pretty scary”. According to her, the creation of the song was difficult because The Chronicles of Narnia is a family film, so she “had to be quite descriptive and not too electronic” when making the song.
Can’t close my eyes
They’re wide awake
Every hair on my body
Has got a thing for this place
Oh, empty my heart
I’ve got to make room
For this feelingIt’s so much bigger than meIt couldn’t be any more beautiful
I can’t take it inWeightless in love, unraveling
For all that’s to come
And all that’s ever been
We’re back to the board
With every shade under the sun
Let’s make it a good oneIt couldn’t be any more beautiful
It couldn’t be any more beautiful
I can’t take it in
I can’t take it in
I can’t take it in
WhoaIt couldn’t be any more beautiful

The day we met,
Frozen I held my breath
Right from the start
I knew that I’d found a home for my heart
Beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave?
How can I love when I’m afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone?
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehowOne step closer
I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand moreTime stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What’s standing in front of me
Every breath
Every hour has come to thisOne step closer
I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand moreAnd all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand moreI’ll love you for a thousand more
OhhOne step closer
I have died everyday waiting for you

in apologies, feeling unwell Tags: Allergic reaction, exhausted, illness, Ruby
Hello everyone and I do mean all of you who are kind enough to allow me to visit and who are always so welcoming when I visit you .
Yet again I have had to just empty my inbox and that breaks my heart because I know I will have missed so many beautiful, insughtful , happy, sad, let’s face it the whole gambit of blogging. Sorry but it had to be done so I can start afresh and not drown!
As I said in my previous posts things here have been hard. All through December we nursed Ruby, she had cancer , firstly daily visits to the Vetinary Hospital for wound dressing, then we needed to change the dressing ourselves twice a day and sleep down stairs with her for over a month. Then just as she was improving I had a P. V.D. you can read about that here.
As if that wasn’t enough Ms Ruby collapsed in the garden one morning and could not even stand for 24hrs that was due to Vestibular Disease which meant for a few days we had to carry her out to the garden for a wee and a pooh! This lasted a few days , she is better now but still very unsteady….we call her the drunken sailor. This also meant more time sleeping downstairs with her in turns!
Finally on the 19th January I had to stop blogging because hubby and I both developed chest infections, necessitating antibiotics. Unfortunately after three days I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics and had to go to A&E. Long story short I was put on a 4 day course of high dose Prednisolone Steroids and Antihistamine tablets. The next day I was worse but by the third day things were improving.
I am now allergic to four types of antibiotics! Below my latest allergic reaction… I was covered in this!
Anyway, touch wood, fingers crossed we seem to be improving so I am tentatively back , I still have funny eyes from the P.V.D. and a cold and a wobbly dog and coughing hubby but hopefully I am back .
Oh! Just for good measure WordPress decided to suspend my blog on Friday, saying I had contravened their terms and conditions? Luckily after I appealled by three different methods I got an email saying I had a fortnight to remove all my work of ten years or lose it! I wrote again protesting my innocence finally I got another email saying they had re viewed my sight and the suspension had been lifted. Phew!! Thanks to Ritu for listening to me and helping.
So now let’s hope the only way is up!

Dear all I am so sorry but I have just had to empty my in box because as much as I love to receive and read all your posts I am just feeling unwell, I tried to read and comment today but it just was not possible. You see it’s not only me who is unwell, hubby has a relentless cough and sore throat and has not had a proper sleep for over a month. …. Neither of us has slept properly since Ruby’s cancer was discovered and then operated on at the beginning of December. Then last week she collapsed and could not even stand for 24hrs that was due to Vestibular Disease.
Add to that my eye trouble, and the same symptoms as hubby (but not as bad) and you can see why I have run out of steam
I hope normal , or as near to normal that I ever get will be resumed soon ….I am off to bed now 💜
Love to you all.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 16th, 2022, is “ridiculous.” Use the word “ridiculous” any way you’d like. Have fun!
It’s ridiculous but today I just can’t concentrate, nothing is coming into my brain for this prompt and it’s such a good prompt.
Well hubby and I have stinking colds, sore throats and coughs, plus I have chest and stomach and back ache too. I feel it would be ridiculous to keep going as it has taken me three hours to write this ridiculous post. So I am giving up now and having a rest , I hope to be back tomorrow. We have both taken LFTs and we are negative thank goodness. 💜💜💜

It’s Sunday again and time for our prompt from Jim Adams for Song Lyric Sunday January 16, 2022 – Bomb, Gun, Knife, Weapon.
First up Zombie…. featuring the lyrics bombs and Guns. The Cranberries are a brilliant group .
“Zombie” is a protest song by Irish alternative rock band the Cranberries, written by the band’s lead singer Dolores O’Riordan in memory of Johnathan Ball and Tim Parry, who were killed in the 1993 Warrington bombings. It was released on 19 September 1994 as the lead single from their second studio album, No Need to Argue, two weeks ahead of the album’s release. Music critics have long recognised “Zombie” as “a masterpiece of alternative rock”.
“Zombie” reached No. 1 on the charts of Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany and Iceland, as well as on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The song was voted by Australian radio Triple J listeners as No. 1 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 1994 chart. It won the Best Song Award at the 1995 MTV Europe Music Awards.
In 2017, the song was released as an acoustic, stripped-down version on the band’s Something Else album. In April 2020, it became the first song by an Irish band to surpass one billion views on YouTube. As of May 2021, Zombie has been streamed over 670 million times on Spotify and as of December 2021, has sold 778,942 copies in the United Kingdom.
During the Troubles, more than 3,500 people died and tens of thousands were injured in more than 30 years of the complex and often brutal conflict. The IRA, which was devoted both to removing British forces from Northern Ireland and to unifying Ireland, killed almost 2,000 people during this time. During this time, over 10,000 bomb attacks were perpetrated in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain, in an armed conflict fought between the Provisional IRA, the Ulster loyalist paramilitaries, and the British security forces.
The song was written in response to the death of Johnathan Ball, 3, and Tim Parry, 12, who had been killed in the IRA bombing in Warrington, northwest England, when two devices hidden in litter bins were detonated. Ball died at the scene of the bombing as a result of his shrapnel-inflicted injuries and, five days later, Parry lost his life as a result of head injuries. 56 others were injured, some seriously. Parry died in his father’s arms in Liverpool‘s Walton hospital. The two boys had gone shopping to buy Mother’s Day cards on one of the town’s busiest shopping streets.
“There were a lot of bombs going off in London and I remember this one time a child was killed when a bomb was put in a rubbish bin – that’s why there’s that line in the song, ‘A child is slowly taken’. We were on a tour bus and I was near the location where it happened, so it really struck me hard – I was quite young, but I remember being devastated about the innocent children being pulled into that kind of thing. So I suppose that’s why I was saying, ‘It’s not me’ – that even though I’m Irish it wasn’t me, I didn’t do it. Because being Irish, it was quite hard, especially in the UK when there was so much tension.”— Dolores O’Riordan in 2017, on writing “Zombie”.
Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence, caused such silence
Who are we mistaken? But you see, it’s not me
It’s not my family
In your head, in your head, they are fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs
And their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head they are cryingIn your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie, ohDo, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, doAnother mother’s breaking
Heart is taking over
When the violence causes silence
We must be mistakenIt’s the same old theme
Since nineteen-sixteen
In your head, in your head, they’re still fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs
And their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head, they are dyingIn your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie

Love like a bomb from the Brilliant Oasis!
Don’t Believe the Truth is the sixth studio album by English rock band Oasis. It was released on 30 May 2005 by Big Brother Recordings. It reached number one in the UK Albums Chart with first week sales of 237,865, and is the 32nd fastest selling album ever in the UK. The album entered the US charts at number 12, with 65,000 copies sold in the first week, the highest any Oasis album had reached there since 1997’s Be Here Now, although its chart stay was brief. Don’t Believe the Truth went triple platinum in the UK in the first week of 2006 (900,000+ sales), and in the US has sold more than 200,000 copies.
As with the previous album, Don’t Believe The Truth had significant writing contributions from members other than chief songwriter Noel Gallagher, and the album is the first where all duties were divided between the band members. On some of the tracks regular bass player Andy Bell handled guitar, while Gem Archer and Noel Gallagher contributed bass to other songs. Don’t Believe the Truth is the first Oasis record to feature the drumming of Zak Starkey, an auxiliary member of Oasis, who performed and toured with them following the departure of longtime drummer Alan White, and appeared on the DVD praising all members’ contributions. The album received positive reviews from critics, and many cited it as Oasis’s best album in a decade.
Liam Gallagher also had a larger impact on the album through his developing songwriting. Noel has said that the album is his favourite of Oasis’ last four, because all members contributed to it. This, he claims, has given it a different feel from a typically Noel-written Oasis album.
The band embarked on a massive worldwide tour that started off at the London Astoria for their Don’t Believe the Truth Tour, visiting 26 countries and playing to 3.2 million people at a total of 113 concerts. This resulted in the making of Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, a film later released on DVD. To date, the album has sold more than six million copies worldwide.
Love like a bomb is track 4 and written by Liam Gallagher and Gem Archer.

Cuts Like a Knife is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. Released on 18 January 1983 by A&M Records, the album was a huge commercial success in the United States and Canada, whereas in the UK and other countries, it sold poorly. After the release of Adams’ fourth album Reckless in late 1984, the album would chart on the British album chart and would later be certified Silver by the BPI. It was recorded at Little Mountain Sound, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Three singles were released worldwide from the album: “Straight from the Heart“, “Cuts Like a Knife” and “This Time“; the three were responsible for launching Adams into mainstream popularity. A further two singles were released in specific territories.
Drivin’ home this evening
I coulda sworn we had it all worked out
You had this boy believin’
Way beyond the shadow of a doubt, yeahWell I heard it on the street
I heard you mighta found somebody new, yeah
Well who is he baby, who is he
And tell me what he means to you, oh yeahI took it all for granted
But how was I to know
That you’d be letting goNow it cuts like a knife
But it feels so right
Yeah, it cuts like a knife
Oh, but it feels so rightThere’s times I’ve been mistaken
There’s times I thought I’d been misunderstood, ooo yeah
So wait a minute darlin’
Can’t you see we did the best we could, ooo we couldWouldn’t be the first time
That things have gone astray
Now you’ve thrown it all awayNow it cuts like a knife
Yeah but it feels so right
Oh it cuts like a knife
Yeah but it feels so right
Oh it’s cut like a knife
But it feels so right, baby
Oh it cuts like a knife, yeahI took it all for granted
But how was I to know
That you’d be letting goNow it cuts like a knife
Yeah but it feels so right, mmm
Now it cuts like a knife
Yeah, but it feels so rightYeah
Oh it cuts like a knife
Oh oh
But it feels so right, baby
Oh yeah
It cuts like a knife
Now give it to me now
Oh yeah, come on boys, awh

For those of you joining SoCS for the first time, it’s a little different than the other prompts in that it’s not always a whole or single word. If you’re joining in from JusJoJan, don’t want to write stream of consciousness style, no worries. It’s up to you! If you do want to try it, please check out the rules on LindaGHill’s page .It’s fun! Here’s your Saturday prompt:
Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “a rainy day.” Write about the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the phrase “a rainy day.” Enjoy!
A rainy day in London.
A rainy day keeping an eye on the weather.
Two friends spending a day together
In their home city.
They came by train
They have umbrellas incase of rain.
Heavy grey laden clouds hang above
The roofs opposite, threatening.
White swans glide a pair for life
Light fades rain threatening
Where can we shelter
Lights from cafes
Glisten in
Dappled
Thames.
