“OMG!” Morgause screamed “this is bloody freezing, what the f##k is going on. I’m wet, Morgarna where are you?”
“I am over here Sis out on the ice, the sexy looking seagull !” Morgarna shouted back.
Silence….. Morgause looked around and noticed for the first time that she was covered in white feathers! “What is going on , am I a swan? Morgarna what’s happening?”
“Yes Sis occasionally we shape shift and we never get any warning….it can be a pain! It usually helps us do whatever we are here for. Don’t complain about being a swan you’ve got lots of down to keep you warm…I am a chilly gull with spindly legs!” Morgarna shifted from foot to foot.
“Mummm! Hisssed Morgause I see what you mean …I think I suit these white feathers .”
Morgarna took a sharp intake of breath and took off to do a reccy.

“Do you see the problem here” Morgarna asked Morgause as she joined her high above the lake in the cold winter sky. The graceful swan and the soaring gull.
“Not really Sis, this is the perfect winter scene isn’t it?” Morgause replied.
“Yes indeed Sis if it were not for the fact we are the only creatures moving, nothing down there is stirring, not a bird, not an animal, not even a blade of grass. Infact everything is frozen.” Morgarna looked at Morgause.

The two sisters surveyed the frozen earth below and in the distance snowy peaks covered in snow and everything was still, no movement no life nothing.

“Do you think it’s a spell ” Morgause asked Morgarna as they circled above the frozen landscape. Morgarna shook her head …”I really am not sure Sis, it’s just so odd……time has frozen “
Then they spotted a building heavily camouflaged to blend in with the snow.
As they landed by the building they both morphed from Swan and Seagull into their human selves and they were relieved to find they were well dressed for the weather.

The two witches approached the building, their boots scrunching on the snow. The held their breath as the opened the door!

Hills surrounded by snow with the odd peice of long grass poking through here or there.

Oh no, I need to know more. Who’s behind the door? Why is everything frozen? Such a tease – haha.
Thank you so much for joining in with #writephoto.
