It’s Sunday and time for Song Lyric Sunday December 5th 2021:House, Room, Kitchen, Shower, Attic suggested by Paula of Light Motifs II.

Well first up, naughty but so good is Shaggy with mention of Bathroom and Shower .
“It Wasn’t Me” is the first single from Jamaican reggae musician Shaggy‘s fifth studio album, Hot Shot (2000). The song features vocals from Rikrok. The lyrics of the song depict one man (Rikrok) asking his friend (Shaggy) what to do after his girlfriend caught him cheating on her with “the girl next door”. His friend’s advice is to deny everything, despite clear evidence to the contrary, with the phrase “It wasn’t me.”
“It Wasn’t Me” was released to contemporary hit radio on 7 November 2000 and has been regarded as Shaggy’s breakthrough in the pop market. It is his highest-charting song to date, topping the charts in Australia, Austria, Flanders, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was the best-selling single of 2001 in the UK, selling over 1.15 million copies that year and over 1.42 million as of 2017.

Next up one of my favourite songs from Imogen Heap, Little Bird mentioning Kitchen and Lounge.
Ellipse is the third studio album from British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap. After returning from a round the world writing trip, Heap completed the album at her childhood home in Essex, converting her old playroom in the basement into a studio. The album got its name from the distinctive elliptical shape of the house. The album’s title was confirmed by Heap via her Twitter page on 25 April 2009, after being leaked onto the internet on 23 April. On 15 June, Heap confirmed that the album would be released on 24 August 2009 in the United Kingdom on Megaphonic Records and 25 August in North America on RCA Records and Epic Records and distributed by Sony BMG. Subject matter in the songs includes post break-up malaise (“Wait It Out”), domestic boredom (“Little Bird”), body image issues (“Bad Body Double”) and a common Heap theme, unrequited love (“Swoon” and “Half Life”).
Next is My Attic from Pink in the Attic.
Hurts 2B Human is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Pink. Released on April 26, 2019, by RCA Records, the album was initially planned as a standalone extended play (EP). Pursuing a sound that would be departure from her previous albums, Pink enlisted the assistance of collaborators such as Greg Kurstin, Max Martin, and Ryan Tedder. The album features guest appearances by Cash Cash, Khalid, Chris Stapleton, and Wrabel. The album was officially announced during Pink’s interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show broadcast in February 2019. Musically, Hurts 2B Human is a pop record whose lyrics delve into themes of love, family, introspection, life, and self-worth.

Finally the great Imogen Heap again with a spoken piece which she accompanies herself. Neglected Space from her Album Sparks .
Sparks is the fourth studio album by English singer Imogen Heap, released on 19 August 2014 through Megaphonic Records in the United Kingdom and through RCA Records in the United States. Recorded between 2011 to 2014 across four different continents, with a new song being written and released a new song every three months, it was primarily written and produced by Heap, with additional writing and production from collaborators Deadmau5, Vishal–Shekhar, and B.o.B, as well as production from Nick Ryan.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE 💜
Bonus track, Every Time That You Walk In the Room by The Searchers
“When You Walk in the Room” was recorded by The Searchers in 1964, reaching #35 in the US and #3 in the UK. The group also recorded a German version titled “Wenn ich dich seh”. Originally “When You Walk in the Room” was a song written and recorded by Jackie DeShannon, released as a single on November 23, 1963, as the B-side to “Till You Say You’ll Be Mine”.

It Wasn’t Me is a fun song with a nice beat. Imogen Heap’s voice has a wonderfully unique sound in Little Bird. Pink uses a metaphor of a messy attic to compare a mixed-up mind with skeletons in her closet. Neglected Space seems more like a poetry recital than a song, but I like it a lot. When You Walk in the Room made a nice wrap up to your post today Willow.
