The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Nov. 6, 2021

Badge by Shelley Krupa.

Here we are on Saturday and our host LindaGHill has set up our SoCs prompt : Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “close eyes and point.” Grab the closest printed material to you when you sit down to write your post, open it up (if it’s a book, flyer, etc.), close your eyes, and point. Whatever your finger lands on, use that as your prompt. Have fun!

Thanks. The nearest printed matter was a card from our middle son. I followed the instructions to a T. What I ended up with was THANKS. Well what can I do with that I asked myself, well I can celebrate it. Funnily enough it’s cropped up a lot this week. Firstly the card.

From our middle son, thanking us for helping him achieve something he never thought he might.

Then there were the flowers from hubby as a thanks for looking after him while he has been unwell.

Then there was the phone call from eldest son who said Thanks so much for being an ear and shoulder while he got through isolation and Covid the other week, miles away and on his own.

Just when I thought I was thank you’d out I got this what’s app from youngest son.

[05/11, 07:48] Hi Mum, I was thinking you of you this week. Especially when I was ironing the boys school shirts
Thanks for doing mine for all those years 😊

Well I thanked them all and I have to admit they all made me feel a million pounds, so I made sure I thanked them back .

Such a tiny word
Yet it means so very much
It lifts the spirits.

THIS IS PART OF LINDAGHILL’S STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS.

This is awesome! So many people say it’s a “thankless job,” I am so happy you’re not one of those people!
