In the wee small hours of the morning
Just before the dawning.
A teeny weeny mouse
Tippy toes around the house.
Mother’s up, the baby weening
The sun awakes beaming.
Wee mouse is ready for bed
Between the wood work to rest it’s head.
Baby rests but mother weeps
She’s so desparate for sleep .
So much to do so she washes up and sweeps.
And soaks the nappies full of wee.
