Morgarna, smiled as she open the roof of the BMW convertable, fiddling in the glove compartment and door pockets she found, sunglasses, cigarettes and a lighter.
She put the sunglasses on and lit a cigarette. Life was good right now and after the time she’d just had she was going to make the most of it.
Looking at her surroundings and the car she thought to herself, okay I am back … something went wrong but it is the right century.
Feeling her side she was relieved that her bag was there and in it the plans for Mars station 5.

Yesterday, was still all too vivid. She had arrived at Mars station 4 with just five minutes on the clock to find a uniform and blend in.
“You can do this sweaty, you know you excell under pressure” Merlin was sweet talking her as always. He knew praise, how ever dubious never failed to inflate Morgarna’s ego.

So there she was ready to blend in. The red light went on and she stood to the side of the door. The door flew open and the evening shift , 200 or so, souls all dressed in black and gold jumpsuits and boots arrived, no one could of noticed her she looked exactly the same as them.

” It’s an in and out job” Merlin had said ” no more than an hour tops, I am cooking tonight so don’t mess about.”

Following the others she headed down the corridor towards security, once through she started to slow her pace and managed to to slip into a side walkway un-noticed. She waited five minutes then got out her map. Noting again her route she set off back down the corridor towards the lifts.
Once on the fifth floor she checked the time, the security beam had just swept the floor and she had ten minutes to get in find the plans and get out.
She found the plans department no problem, and the wall of safes .

Just as Morgarna reached in to retrieve the plans she heard a click behind her she grabbed the plans and spun round. A security Bot hovered Infront of her.
“Wot you doin Bozzum” it asked. “Lookin for me lunz” Morgana replied in the same accent.
“Dat doz not compute” the Bot buzzed menacingly. ” Com wit me Bozzum” it said.
Taking a spray tin from her pocket Morgarna sprayed it’s cameras, “sozzy” she whispered “got to runz Bozzum”
She made it to the lifts, only to meet four more security Bots.

Back at the lab Merlin had noticed she was in trouble but had decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. It was only when the lazer tazor hit her for the second time that he decided to send the anomaly in.

Stunned and disoriented Morgarna entered the anomaly off centre.

That’s how she’d ended up in a quiet french village, brusied and aching. Walking through the quiet streets she’d found the Beema …keys, bottle of water and a full tank. It would be rude not to.

So here she was speeding along ,wind and cigarette ash in her hair. She heard the wail of the police siren before she saw the Gendarmerie Nationale car.
To stop or not to stop, she was just pondering when Merlin located her.

Morgarna was really enjoying chatting with the handsome Gendarm and he was falling under her spell, when over his gorgeous shoulders she saw … The Anomaly, no mistaking it, light fluffy feather cloud with a rainbow plume. For the first time Morgana was not pleased to see it. Unfortunately though she was compelled to run towards the edge of the cliffs and leap for it as it neared her.
Leaving the handsome Gendarm wondering what was going on.

As she appeared in the lab Merlin sniffed “phew!” He crinkled his nose, you smell of cigarettes, cheap colonge and … Bot oil? I’ve run you a bath and dinner is ready. Where are the plans”

Morgarna was not best pleased as she snatched Merlin’s drink out of his hand and downed it! She threw her bag at him saying. There are the plans”

What’s dinner” she asked as she lowered herself into the bath.
“Coq au vin” replied Merlin from the kitchen.

I read the first word of this and already there was a smile on my face. What an adventure. I love that it finished with a nice hot bath at the end too. Thank you again for joining in the challenge:
