One-Liner Wednesday. Family.

Out in the car, when we got a call from our two eldest sons, who were staying with us at the time.

M “Dad have you got my wallet by mistake”

D No, I only have mine with me.”

M “Are you sure, oh! Hang on , is that your wallet P?

P Yes it is.”

M “Ah! Mine is upstairs.”

Sound of feet on stairs. Distant voice, M “It’s okay I have got it!”

Now, here is the One Liner from P.

“Its okay dad, we are just like like Laurel and Hardy but just not funny! “

Those little conversations do set the mind wandering, hey but at least the outcome was favourable. I like the one liner by the way, very cheeky in a lovable kind of way.

Lol, just a short conversation, they had joined us for a short break in Wales. We’d hardly seen them for any length of time for over 15 months due to Covid . It was fun.

With the threat of even more problems regarding Coronavirus it makes me wonder if we will ever reach the point of getting back to a more normal life. The Delta variant strain is certainly a worry as it gains even more pace in our communities. Let us hope that we can all stay safe in these uncertain times.

Hi Andro, yes it’s very worrying isn’t it. We are in a hot area so we have to go for surge testing on our return from a trip to Wales. My hubby has a nasty chest infection at the moment , not Covid thank goodness , he had a test and and was negative.
It’s a shame about the brakes being put on the return to normal but it’s preferably to being fool hardy.
I doubt we will ever see real normal, as we knew it , again…sad really.
Be well and happy and of course wicked! πŸ’œ

I agree, life as we knew it seems to have been totally lost but you never know, with time things could improve vastly so let’s keep that thought instead of the more negative alternative.

I am sending my most positive vibes for your hubbies full and swift recovery, those chest infections can take a while to fully recover from so make sure he keeps hydrated and warm, yes it’s supposedly summer but it has been chilly nonetheless.

Yes we must be positive your right let’s hold out for a miracle! πŸ’œ
