I have chosen a Gogyohka this week. I have written two verses about the Lilly of the Valley and how it reminds me of my father.

Lilly of the Valley.

Spring’s harbinger
Memory stirs
Such scent
Fills my kitchen
And my soul.

Father would toil
Hands in soil
You his pride and joy
Green and white
My joy now.

I love lilies of the valley! And I had them at my old house. Going to have to get some for this one, too. Lovely!

What a beautiful memory, Willow. A flower’s scent can relax or transport us back in time.

Thank you Willow for sharing the news about the journal. I’m working overtime trying to get Word Craft published this week as well. I’m in this chair until the book is formatted! Woo hoo! I love this poetry. So lovely. Thanks again. ❤

The scent of Lily of the Valley reminds me of the first perfume my mother let me use at about 16.. reluctantly as she thought I was trouble enough as it was lol.. Lovely poetry Willow ♥

This is so lovely, Willow. I too love lilly of the valley and understand how fragrances can take you back in time. It’s so nice you have that scent-connection of the lilly with your father. ❤❤
