Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Caledonia.

Badge by Shelley Krupa

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with cal.” Use a word starting with the letters “cal” as your prompt word. Have fun!

Caledonia was the Latin name used by the Roman empire to refer to the part of Great Britain that lies north of the River Forth, which includes most of the land area of Scotland. Today, it is used as a romantic or poetic name for all of Scotland. Wikipedia.

The Romans built Hadrian’s Wall. It’s still standing… The Caledonians are a fearsome race, they scared the Romans and later the rest of the UK and the world.

This post is really me being lazy because I am finding it too hard to post at all at the moment. I am hoping I can get back into the swing of things soon.

It’s also part of LindaGHill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday

You were doing well and then you lost me at I GIVE UP. Please don’t! We are all allowed a dip in enthusiasm now and then😊

I don’t really like the sound of bagpipes, but it looks like a fun instrument to play.

I took a few days off writing, Willow. It happens. Just give yourself time.

Oh, Willow, you are no fraud at all. Daily blogging needs a lot of energy and creativity needs a break every now and then. That is just the nature of it. Please, give yourself a break. Do something else you enjoy for a little and you’ll be back in the swing of things in no time ♥️🙋‍♀️🐝

My maternal grandmother was born in Scotland but she was always made a point of saying she was English. Her family originated in Staffordshire. Then they all emigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada where my mother was born.
