One-Liner Wednesday. Late Christmas Gift.

The one liner written in a box.

Why was it late, he had Covid at Christmas, and we can’t see him because of where he works and lockdown. .. He bought his Dad a special present too.

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 43: (SPRING) in the A rhyme line.

Wednesday and it time for Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Déima challenge.

You may, if you wish, make some kind of link between the Haiku Challenge prompt of (BARE and Full). and this is my link from Monday. Challenge of SPRING in the A rhyme line. This means you could write a haiku post using the prompt words. Then do a Décima post using this week’s prompt uniting the two with a common message.
The two challanges are separatebut can be combined if we choose to do so.

Awaiting Spring. A Décima from the birds.

Berries are red, the birds sing
We’ll eat them all and have our fill
Needing full tums to beat the chill
Time is harsh twixt Winter and Spring.
Ground hard covered in icy bling.
Water frozen it turns to ice.
We strive on as with death we dice.
At night we huddle where we roost
Humans spread seed, our diets boost.
So we sing for them,to be nice.

“That’s true, do we have any?”

“We may have a few…”

And so began what can only be described as a frantic scramble to put together and publish a catalogue of books with subject matter related to our new school.

We did well, and continue to do so, with upwards of twenty books now published under the Silent Eye imprint.

In the seven years of the school’s existence, this may be regarded as remarkable and probably has something to do with the fact that what we have to say needs to be heard, and also acted upon!

There was though, a downside to this headlong dash into print. We were new to publishing and had a lot to learn. Some…
