Thursday photo prompt: Returning #writephoto

For Five years now Sue Vincent has done her #writephoto challenge on a Thursday. Recently Sue has been seriously ill, still is but Sue being Sue has bowed to requests to reinstate this very popular challenge. Some of us old guard have been re-posting some of our old posts.

So now, this week Sue has reinstated the challenge. New Rules and pingback here. All we can do and give it a go and if it is too much work for Sue we can always repost old ones.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a solitary figure on a rocky ledge, holding a staff and silhouetted against a pale sky.

Transitions are special, be it dawn or dusk things change, it’s true in many senses. They can also herlad a return.

And dark
Shades of grey
What promises
Does tomorrow hold
At the break of the day.
There will be a renewal
And on the threshold of the night.
There will be a gentle peace to guide
Our next return on soft butterfly wings.
