Boris went for a ride
From the cameras he couldn’t hide.
He went seven miles
Returned full of smiles
But was he within the rules
Apparently so for him, but not us fools.
Two ladies went for drive
A thing they thought was prescribed.
They only went five miles
To socially distance, together a while
But they took along a flask
And the police took them task
So £400 they had to pay
Unlike Boris, but what the hey.
Now how far can we go
It’s something we really should know.
Because there seems to be two sets of rules you see
So remember, if you’re rich and famous
You can do as you wish, which isn’t the same for plebs like you and me .

We’ve got the same “rules for thee but not for me” politicians here in the U.S., mostly with wanna be tyrant state governors. They don’t even try to hide it anymore.

I love your poem, well written and so perfect for the time we are in.
The police are going to get tougher. But who with. We are all doing our best.
But a certain decision maker i feel is the one who put he nhs in this mess. And we are all suffering for it.
