Travel Challenge Day 6.

I was nominated by my friend Geoff Lepard to one favourite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then to nominate someone else to participate. That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. Now I nominate John W Howell at fiction favourites.  Please link to me so I know you have participated. If you are not interested, no problem. If you want to guess where this is, feel free. I might even let you know if you are right.

The Friday Reminder for #SoCS & #JusJoJan 2021 Daily Prompt – Jan. 2nd

Badge by Shelley Krupa..

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “in the corner.” Write about whatever the image or thought of “in the corner” brings to mind. Have fun.

I went to a convent school from the age of four years until I was fifteen years old, when I left for an apprenticeship as a window dresser.

Now from kindergarten through to upper transition the punishment for any misdemeanor was to be sent to stand in the corner. Like a vase or stool we were made to turn our back on the class and face the wall in the corner.

I hated this it was to me as a tot the worse thing that could happen. I soon found out there was worse. The ruler, we had to hold out the palm of hands and the Nun would hit us really hard up to six times! The ruler was kept in the corner of the Nun’s desk.

Happy days ….not.

#JusJoJan prompt the 1st – “Speech”

Spoken softly so you will listen
People hear hear my words glisten
Endless mutterings I have made
Even with truth I’ve played
Cheating , lying,that’s the style
Hope you see through my twisted smile.

Just Jot it January 2021 – The Rules!

I am late but I am in 💜

Hey there! Welcome to the 8th annual Just Jot it January challenge! This year is going to be far simpler than the last couple of years. One prompt per day, link to that post, that’s it. Details below.

But why should you participate in this challenge? To keep the ol’ fingers warm and meet up with an awesome blogging community, that’s why! Just Jot it January, AKA JusJoJan, is a challenge to write a post every day of the month of January. We’ve grown from a handful of participants in 2014 to close to fifty for the past couple of years. Let’s see if we can make it to sixty this year!

Here are the JusJoJan Rules:

1. Just Jot It January starts January 1st, but it’s never too late to join in! Here, we run on the honour system; the “jot it” part of JusJoJan means that anything you…
