2020 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 200, #THEMEPROMPT

WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It’s the fourth week of the month! Are you ready for a theme prompt? Marsha Ingrao from last month’s challenge picked the theme.

This month’s theme is:

This week I have written a Tanka and a short Haiku . To express how humans have this illusion of power, over Mother Nature who laughs at us.

We feel we control
The outcome of life and fate.
Sadly deluded
Gaia sighs and laughes at us
She holds sway above us all.

We’re in charge?
Gaia laughs at us
We haven’t a clue

I love your combination of Tanka and Haiku, and I’m here having a look, I think Jez has done us a big favour… Cheers Ivor..

So true….A Lovely Tanka and Haiku combination. They seem to work very well in your writing here. Will certainly give it a try. 🙂

Willow, you are so spot on with your poetry this week. As humans, we are so weak. ❤
