Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 23 (FALL) This week, it’s the B rhyme line.

A Décima with fall to rhyme with the B line and to incorporate the words wings and clipped from Monday’s Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku Challenge.

Autumn

Summers wings, well and truly clipped
Autumn is here and leaves will fall.
Smoke rises from the bonfires pall.
Harvest of fruits exotic sipped
Dancing leaves like fairies have tripped.
Squirrels gathering winter’s stores
Birds migrating to foreign shores.
The nights are drawing in so fast
Later mornings, bright sunrise past.
Acorns, chestnuts line woodland floors.

This is part of Ronovanwrite’s Décima Challenge

I heard children skipping rope and Disney witches casting magical charms when I read this. It’s so well written.

Beautiful image comments the poem and adds another dimension. Another one that together would make an incredible poster or picture for an office…

    You’re very talented, Willow.
