The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Aug. 29/2020

It’s Saturday and time for LindaGHill’s Stream of consciousness Saturday.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “more than a hundred.” Write your post inspired by something you have more than a hundred of in your home right now. Enjoy!

There is a wardrobe in the spare room and the bottom of it is filled with photos. Weddings, holidays, parties, funerals, days out, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, friends, families , funerals, happy days and desparate days 💜

All life is here. An Acrostic Poem

Pleasing memories linger
Hopefully they multiply and evolve
One triggers this another that.
Time is caught in a feathered cap.
Onwards they march waking feelings as they
Go, swelling with captured love.
Repeating what has gone before
A silly face here a false smile
Placating hidden fears
Hoping against hope for better years
Sound not needed, silent pictures

Yes they are close to my heart especially because my ex husband of 21 years will not release any photos of my children to me. Sorry to get personal, but is the reason I have 100’s of photos. They are mine too, no one can take them from me. I adore the memories God has given me! I pray one day he will release a thumb drive to me with all my kids baby pics on it. Super important to me! Blessings! 💕🤍💕

It is very much, I have just had to learn to accept it as it is. He is sick with alcoholism as I once was. He hasn’t found his way out. So I just pray for him to find what I have. I have known him since the 4th grade. His dad is the pastor of the church I grew up in. So you can imagine the distress they feel. We all just pray he makes it back around. You can’t compete with addiction. God will have to do the breaking, and we all just pray and wait! So I love my pictures I have now. I hold them so very close to my heart! Have an awesome weekend! 💜💜💜

I love having real photos. I have lots of my Mum’s and my Grandmother’s. One day I’ll sort them out. Then one day I might print off some of the best digital ones we have. One day lol. Great acrostic.

I love my real photos, we could not afford too many when we were younger as the processing was exspensive. So those we took were prescious. Nowadays we click click all the time 😂

What a lovely photo, Willow. I’ve recently been going through a box of old photos that my last remaining aunt has. She’s retelling me some precious memories. Some of the photos have appeared on my blog.

I was talking to Hubby the other day about our photographs. We put together a variety of collages and had them hanging up in the cottage and then redone and blue tacked to the boat walls. We’ve got loads in the roof but haven’t got round to doing anything with them. They’ll be pics of me with short hair, and pics of Hubby with hair period. Happy days.
    Great post Willow.

This is lovely, Willow. Photographs do bring us all over the place, don’t they? Emotionally and physically.
