Today or tonight 3rd Aug there is a full moon. Frank Tassone tells this full moon has many names, among them Sturgeon Moon. So as we transcend from Summer to Autumn Frank suggest: “This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the sturgeon moon.”
I have chosen a Tanka .
Sturgeon Moon.

Summer’s passing I grieve
Yet soon her gifts we’ll receive
Silver reflections
Stone cast, sturgeon moon ripples
And so the world keeps turning.
